Kristil, so glad you're able to get some time to yourself. Sorry that you had to relive those memories. Will pray that gets taken care of soon!
Unusual morning. Late getting up. Started dishes, then got sidetracked with DD#2's room and also some phone calls. STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN BACK TO THE DISHES! UGH! BUT, DD's closet got a thorough weeding accomplished. Now we have two bags of clothes for our neighbor. Just need to call and see when we can drop them off.
Made some phone calls. One was a little frustrating. Our country road is HORRIBLE. Deep pot holes and then when they filled some, they overfilled them and didn't smooth it down. Making it almost worse than before! I asked what needed to be done to request our road to be repaved. Nothing! No money to do it. Only fill the pot holes. GGRR! He at least said he would take a look at our road, but no promises. Does anyone know if we can take this up higher and who would we talk to?? (Our road has been this way for the 8 yrs we've lived here!)
Not sure if I updated you all, but some of our responsibilities at church have changed. DH and I are the new AWANA commanders. DH stepped down as the Sunday School teacher and I stepped down at the Ladies Ministry Leader. DH will fill in for other teachers when needed and I am still on the Ladies planning team, just not the head honcho anymore. Now we should be able to focus more energy on AWANA, Homeschooling, & Co-op Musical.
So I've been working lately at getting things organized and set up for the new year.
Well, I need to get going. The dishes await! CYA!

Great job Kristil! You're really going to town!! Once you use that power drill, look out!! You'll be finding ways to use it again and again! LOL
Got some veggies peeled, washed, cut, shredded and ready to go. Now DH needs to attack the onions. That's one I don't do unless I have to, and since I put my makeup on, I'm not touching it! LOL
Need to get put some supper together. Cya~

YEA Kristil!!!!!!!!!! Both with the cleaning and using your new drill! I also wanted to say that the lady who worked with you was very snotty, in what she said to you. She should have thanked you for filling in and going a great job. UGH! I hope she won't be there long! Wendy: I use to love to play when I did the dishes for my mom when I was young.....gave lessons on how to wash dishes! Seriously! I was Martha S and didn't know it! ROTFLOL. You could teach the girls to do them.......oldest washes, youngest drys!
Good for you about complaining about the road and the pot holes. I hope they do something for you. Frustrating I know.
Jodi: Good you had a nice vacation, and have some camping to look forward to. Working quickly, but what is nice is you can look forward to the camping. YOU are one brave girl. I don't even like yard work, let alone camping! LOL

I was able to spend quite a bit of time sewing today. I finished an apron - it's going to my daughter-in-law.

This is just a quick note to say thank you to everyone here who has given me encouragement over the years. I have made some major changes in my life, and I think life is going in the right direction now.
I finally broke up with my bf of 3 years - he not only created "clutter" in my life, but also physical clutter in my home. I am so much happier now!
I leave for Pennsic in 2 days. That's the largest medieval event in the world - my children and I will be living in a medieval city of 10,000 for a week and a half. We will be travelling from GA to PA, and since we've never been anywhere near that far north, I am a little nervous!
My productivity since the break up has been so much better. I have been sewing like crazy (getting garb ready for the event). Every day I have been doing at least one load of dishes. Laundry is getting caught up. DS is cutting grass every other day, until it's done. We've thrown away so many trash bags, and we're going to start recycling. I've organized my sewing stuff (at least what I can get to for now)
Anyway, I hope this isn't too off topic...I don't have a lot of friends here in this town, so you guys have no idea how much you helped me get through the days that I felt overwhelmed.
Hugs to you all!! I'll post again in a couple of weeks when we return!
