((((((((((HUGS))))))))). I am so sorry for you. This BF sounds very very thoughtful. That is wonderfully caring. Just do what you have to ,and I am so very proud of you taking care of things like you did. I know it had to be so difficult, but they are happy and running up in puppy heaven, and enjoying special treats, waiting to see you again. (I believe that!)

I tossed five boxes of items to a charity pickup, too many to list again (I write what I donate on cards, to use for taxes later).

Certain items were hard to toss (clothes I might not be able to wear again), and a few had sort of sentimental value. I keep telling myself people will be glad to have them.

Clothes with sentimental value are the hardest to part with. I know - I still have a few in my closet. But I did give away a few this last go around.

Today, I tossed:

The remnants of an ivy geranium plant that had grown into a huge bush (it was growing over a support) before it died out.

2 discarded lizard skins!!! (found under the ivy geranium)

I am not feeling very good today--a touch of the flu, but when I got the toaster from the top of the 'frig, tossed 14 very old cinnamon (sp) sticks, several plastic cup lids. Also found 3 tins that fit in each other to put in the thrift store bags. Not sure I'm doing 10 items a day, but did put several items in the thrift store bag yesterday. Hopefully, I will have a trunk full by Monday when I go to town again.

OH, forgot that last night I tossed several old newspapers (I admit some were laying around from the end of June), shredded a bag of papers, tossed 4 magazines and catalogs. Just shredded more receipts and papers.
Also have two tote bags to go to thrift store--will fill them with other junk as I go.

Beaglelady, so sorry about the pups. Your bf sounds quite compassionate. You certainly deserve that! Good idea to donate the beds and remaining food to a shelter. Nice on the indoor yard sale!

Bless, you toss some of the most interesting items!

Simplicity, great toss! I hear you on the sentimental items. They are the hardest to let go of.

singleteacher, sorry you are not feeling well. Hope that passes quickly. Good job on your tossing in spite of not feeling well.

Hope I didn't miss anyone.

Tossed recycling mostly in the form of shreds! I do need to toss all of my recycles at the transfer station. May do that this afternoon while I still have dgd around to help. She leaves tomorrow to spend a week with her dad.

Happy tossing all!

Got inspired and loaded the trunk half full of stuff to take to the thrift store tomorrow when we go to town.

Last night I cleaned out some old stuff in the bathroom. Had a couple small containers with make up stuff in them. Not saying the stuff was old, BUT the make up sponges and eye shadow applicators were dissintegrated (SP)!!! Yuck. Dumped a bunch of old make up stuff and found items to take to thrift store.

This afternoon, I decided that we did not need three 2-drawer file cabinets so I cleaned out a stack about 2 feet tall to shred from the two I will keep and then cleaned out files from the one to get rid of. Moved the files to the other cabinets and took the other one to the car.

Shredded papers and filled 3 bags before DD2 came home and wanted to watch a movie. Overheated the shredder twice so it needs to cool off any way.

Have also cleaned out some other trash and the dumpster is overflowing; good thing trash pick up is Monday.

Feels good to have so much out of the way and more open space.

Still have a lot to get rid of but with everyone's inspiration here, progress is being made. Thanks to all of you!!!!

Baby steps - I tossed the instruction manual for my now-defunct camera and the accompanying software. My new camera is a different brand, so no need to keep the old stuff. I am proud of myself for getting rid of it so quickly - I dropped and broke the original camera on Saturday, tossed it and the software stuff on Sunday!

ST - YOU GO GIRL!!! You are on a tossing run! Great job for all you tossed.

Maureen, wonderful tossing totals!! Great job!

Cari, baby steps are the way to go. Greast job on recognizing that you don't need the old stuff for a broken camera!

Been tossing fabric and thread through my new machine trying to learn how to use it! It's been great fun and I'm quilting up charity quilts in the process! Gotta like that!

I know we're at 8 pages but with the new month so close I'm going to let this go a bit. Will come in on Sunday to change to the new month.
