I am new here but I don't know if this counts as tossing. I am wanting to get away from the country look in my home "(have had it since we have been married) and go with a more beachy feel. So a friend of mine from facebook as some beachy things so we are going to trade. So I guess that really isn't tossing but getting something new for me and new for her without paying for it.

But I do have somethings that need to goto goodwill this month or next I don't really think I have enough for this month.

ANYTHING that leaves your house is tossing! We're pretty lax on "rules" here. LOL

I think that kind of swap is fantastic.

I, too, have had "country" as my decorating look for the past 20 years or so! Since the early 80s! I think I am starting to get a little tired of that look, although it is fairly streamlined country at this point. The "beach" looks sounds lovely.

Yes, anything that leaves your house is considered as "tossing"! smile

DH was bored after golf was over so I said 'let's go through our clothes'. He says 'I will give you 15".' So an hour later I have 40 articles of clothing, 1 pr of tennies, 1 pr of cowboy boots (can we say line dancing in the 80's) and 2 pair of very old winter boots.

Dh has 14 pr of jeans that are ALL in great shape. We got rid of ONE pair. Seriously, he trashed his work jeans last fall and wears sweats in the winter around the house and shorts in the summer. Two of the jeans are brand new with the tags on. He is set for the next 20 years unless he loses a lot of weight. lol

Included in the 40 pieces of clothing, I have 15 shirts, 1 pr of pants, 2 sweaters and a blazer. I was shocked I had that many shirts to give up.

We have an abundance of hangers right now!

I brought a box up from the basement and remembered I had another box of 'stuff' down there. I brought it up and have two things that I might save. One is a smiley face mousepad. I could use that at work for motivation. The other is a nice pyrex baking dish.

We have some things in the hall pantry that could go too. I have 4 boxes already so I am going for 6 now. smile

Chef, know it feels good to have gotten rid of the old files!

Bless, good job on the weeds!

Frugal, good goal, and great job on getting the 4 boxes. Nice to want to increase it to 6. You're on a roll so I'm betting you don't have any trouble doing that!

Shell, yep, if it leaves the house, it counts! Like the ladies said, we are pretty lax around here what constitutes tossing. If it's donated, recycled or trashed it counts as long as it goes out!

I'm not sure what my style is. When it comes to houses I like a Craftsman style home. When it comes to furniture, I love Mission style. But do I have any of that? Only mine and dh's dressers and nightstands! I'd love to go more Mission style in the furnishings and will someday. For now I'd settle for less cluttered, and I'm getting there!

Keep up the great work all!

Thanks everyone. I am just to the point were I want a change. I have kept some of my country things cause I am not ready to get rid of them yet. I also have longaberger baskets and won't get rid of those since they are functional.

I just want a more beachy clean feel in my home. So that is the game plan. I am excited to trade things.

I will not have anything this month for goodwill but maybe next month I will have somethings.

This is a great site so far. Thanks for letting me join.

I tossed some old make up and some old bathroom items. I am almost done cleaning the bathroom just got to sweep and mop and my cabinets look really nice. I am glad about that. I hate cleaning the bathroom.

Also got a tote with some items in it to take to my friends to do a trade. Next on my list of to do is the familyroom.

I've been away so I need to start tossing again to *catch up* (as per the challenge issued by Bless to toss 310 things this month).

I am currently at 71, goal:200.
