I completed my major goal of the summer. I finished my last class needed to clear my teaching credential. YIPPEE!!! grin

Now, I need to wait until my final grade is posted and then I can apply for my new credential. I hope to have that all completed before I start back to work on August 9th, but I'm at the mercy of others with this one. I will do my part as quickly as possible in order to expedite the process.

Goals for July include (but not limited to):

- Make quilt for DD's birthday (July 17th)
- Clean and organize office (ROTM)
- Make pj shorts for myself
- Vacation to who-knows-where last week of July
- Freezer cooking (need to do this today and/or tomorrow) - Consists of browning meat, forming burger patties, making meatballs, bagging chicken breasts and bagging bulk shredded cheese
- Read (I have stacks of books that I want to read and now that I'm done with school/classes I can actually do that!)

I'm leaving it at that for the time being because I know I always end up adding to it as the month goes on.

This weeks plans have really gone out the window. First, I unexpectedly get invited to an interview, I end up getting a haircut the very next day, because my stylist will be on vacation just before the interview and then we have a leaking pipe in the house and while my apartment isn't affected I end up sorting out various misunderstandings to make sure the water gets turned on again (a neighbour turned it off when his wall became wet) and the problem is fixed. Did I ever mention I don't like drama? shocked

Goals for Mon June 28 to Sun July 4

Companions and Experts
- design my personal address book with plenty of space for all kinds of useful extra information (special skills, favourite conversation subjects, etc, etc)
- add two profiles to address book

Improve Contentment Regarding Profession
- interview prep (due on Wednesday)
** get haircut
** select clothes
** find out exact location of interview building and plan route
** make a list of things to bring
** visit botanical garden, if possible (probably Monday morning)
** get new hair pins, if possible
** think about it some more

Streamline Housekeeping
- hem new black pants
- see if I can find nice summer sneakers in the two shops that are most likely to have what I'm looking for
*** 5 shops, no luck frown
- scrub bathroom floor and cabinet
- add two "hot summer day" recipes to my collection

Fun and Friends
- 16 emails / conversations / phone calls / postings - just for fun (8 done)
- practise singing

Unusual or Repository
- count votes (Sun)
- three hours of uninterrupted quiet time for contemplation, not necessarily at home (1.5 hours done)

I cut out all of the fabric last night for DD's birthday quilt.

Made reservations in Reno for 4 nights during the last week of July. Still have a few more days to plan for.

Made the first of my debt payments in my snowball debt payment plan. If I'm able to keep to it, I will have all of my debts, including my student loans, paid off in early 2014. Sounds like a long ways off, but oh so much better than ten years from now.

FAMILY/FUN: I have two birthday parties to attend. One is the weekend for my Dfather. The other is my DS. His party will be in two weeks. We'll have his extended family party on Saturday. That will allow for swimming and dinner with dessert.

The next day he'll go to camp for a week.

The week after that is our state fair. So we can spend the weekend there.

ENVIRONMENT: I will have the house cleaned, deep cleaned. In particular I'll have DD's bedroom, DS's bedroom, guest bedroom, and our bedroom cleaned, (IS there a theme?) In addition, I need to clean the office and spend some time in the shop.

When DS is gone, I'd like to pull together the items for a garage sale. Then we can put that on in August.

BIG GOAL: I will start my BIG GOAL on Monday.

I also need to finish some projects. They're not exactly procrastination, as I was needing some information before I could move forward with the project.

For some volunteer work, I need to send in a report for a grant.
For some volunteer work, I need to send in a report for a second grant.
For some volunteer work, I need to pay some bills.
For some volunteer work, I need to update the checkbook, and make a report as to how the money was earned and spent.

For another volunteer project I need to finish a newsletter and send that to the printer.

I need to file some papers and update a couple of notebooks.

CHILDREN: I need to get DS in for a physical. I need to get DD an appointment for the dentist.

I need to work daily with DD in counting and colors. I need to work daily with cooking lessons, with DS. A major area that I need to help DS with is his organizational skills. In addition, we need to work on improving his non messy skills.

Goals mentioned on the Paper Taming, Tossing, and Gardening threads.

Maybe (although the ball isn't all in my court) get a part-time job, if I can't find a full-time one.

Have the house presentable enough to have people over.
