Agree w/you about how nice it is w/no humidity for a change (& lower temps)!

Already done: dishes (empty & reload dishwasher); about 5 phone calls; read outside for 1 1/2 hours! (husband gone fishing so don't have to plan dinner or do his laundry!!); in process of working on endless PAPERWORK

JDI's

**fold laundry & iron some
**do some bday cards & research bday gift for our daughter & wedding gift for another couple
** toss some emails!

Retirement party for therapist went well yesterday. Had a lot of laughs & some tears as we (group of ladies) said "goodbye" to each other & thanked therapist. We are researching other Dialectical Behavioral Therapy groups (more like a class to learn new coping skills & effective communication, etc.) in the area that may be available.

Hope all the U.S. GONers have a good 4th of July celebration!--Suzy

Cut some weeds
Wash the side window of the screened in

Happy to report all items on my JDI list were done!
The yard is increasingly looking better. I also checked the bird feeder, those little birds ate everything! Not even scraps left. So I refilled it.

The new pastor arrived today. Seems very nice, and has a sense of humor, and stated he wouldn't change the Saturday service! YES! I guess there was a lot of concern from some people about that.

So tomorrow is going to be ME day, and the holiday. Hope you all have some great plans whether alone or with family and friends.

WARNING: Rambling ahead as usual! Skip or skim!

Bless: I NEED to follow your example & take a nap sometimes. I really resist taking a nap (as I think I'm wasting time or am worried it will make my attempts at sleep at night even harder), but I noticed yesterday I was exhausted (due to interrupted sleep w/pain thing the night before) & I didn't accomplish much as I was so slowed down & really felt unwell as I was so tired so by 3:00 I was dragging & basically "vegged" out w/books & a little paperwork. But if I had taken a nap, I think I would then have been refreshed enough to think clearly & regain some momentum.

Another reason why I don't take naps is that I'm such a GROUCH when I wake up, but no one is here to be the recipient of my wrath since husband is in Alaska fishing until Thursday. Until I have some coffee & about 30 min. of regaining my senses I really am not fit for human contact.

I remember when my husband & I used to play mixed doubles a couple Friday nights a month w/a bunch of other couples & then go out to dinner. The tennis started at 7:30 & on Friday nights I was TIRED so I took a nap from 5:00-6:00 p.m. & told my husband NOT TO DARE COME HOME until 6:30 or he would be sorry! It was awful when I got up, but after the coffee & transformation into a socialized being again I felt much better by the time we got to tennis & had a good time & I wouldn't have been able to do that without that nap.

Also, when I get up in the morning I have to take pain medication for my back pain (prone position makes it really bad & I just take it in the morning so at least my 1st 4 hours of the day my pain level is low & I can smile & not fall into a bad attitude) & that medication tends to make me sleepy as I never feel rested when I wake up as it is usually PAIN that wakes me up & I just want to get out of bed for some relief.

So I've also had a sleep study years ago & even before the pain issue had some really bad problems w/staying asleep (not full-blown sleep apnea but had similar results so I do take Provigil {a non-addictive stimulant prescribed for those w/sleep apnea & other sleep disorders} in the morning which takes about 30-45 min. to take effect & give me some energy).

So mornings are not very comfortable until pain is down & energy up!! And I'm waiting for that to occur as I write this so sorry about using you all for my ramblings AGAIN.

Feeling human now so can think. JDI's for today:

**Jump on stairmaster to try to get my energy up further (have had it pounded in my head so much by various docs that exercise will help w/energy & decrease depression; so much so that one doc wrote "30 min. of aerobic exercise daily" on a prescription script & tore it off & gave it to me w/my other scripts for meds!! She says I need to consider it as one of my medications so TRYING to do that & need to do it before it gets too hot (heat also doesn't agree w/me).
**Put together stuff I'm giving to friend I will be meeting for coffee or lunch today (need to call her & figure out what we are doing) as I'm still cleaning out my "miracle" closet that keeps refilling no matter how much stuff I take out. She has lost weight after being treated for thyroid cancer (wouldn't recommend that as a diet technique, but she looks really good now & unfortunately, I have a lot of clothes that are not fitting me due to my weight gain).
**Grocery shop (trying to eat more fruits & veggies).
**Still cleaning out closet & taking a box or 2 at a time down from attic & going through to donate most stuff (Christmas stuff & misc. junk--useful items but obviously not useful to me as they have been in the attic for years) as spending Christmas in AZ now & have very small tree & decorating there & need to downsize for our eventual move there.
**Clear off kitchen counter
**Research & order wedding & bday gifts that I didn't do yesterday as too tired.
**Read book group book.
**Email toss.
**Read GON newsletter (like July list & Maria's posts & articles).

STOP PROCRASTINATING now that I feel almost human. Hopefully, the stairmaster will perk me up into the actual socialized human model. Happy 4th of July, U.S.A. GONers!--Suzy

Diana: Hope the allergies get better. Enjoy your ME day.

Suzy: Sometimes, a little rest pays off.

***********

I was planning to have a relaxed day, myself.

Woke up early to watch Wimbledon tennis.

Decided to clean the family room while I watched the tennis. So, dusted and swept the family room. Then, swept the 2nd bathroom where the cat's litter box is (messy kitty). Swept the laundry closet floor, too. Decluttered in my closet a little more and found a few more items to set aside to donate.

Then, made and ate pancakes for b'fast.

Off to sort through and list the donations I have put in the garage.

Edited to say I went through and listed the donations. I have 18 bags ready to be picked up. Plus, I set aside another 20 videos for DD to go through and OK before I donate them. That would be another bag.

Great going BLESS! Those are many donations. You are probably out of things to donate! LOL Isn't it amazing how much we have?

I am working on gifts to give for christmas on the side along with doing the books on tape. I did finish a "real" book yesterday also.

My JDIs for today:

ETEing and PUPAing
Haircut

Pick up some lettuce/fruit from the store
Take care of DBs house
Finish painting so I can seal the ornaments
Laundry

Found out I miscounted and crocheted an extra pattern on the baby blanket for about 5 rows, tore that out and have to redo.
Glad I found it so soon!

OMG! Maureen, what in the world, you had that once before too, the food poisoning didn't you. How horrible. Hopefully you are feeling better now.

Bless;
That is a bunch of donations!

I am invited to my DSIL/DBIL's for dinner tonight. Nice surprise and will go there after I feed the kitties at DBs.
Want to pick up flowers or something to bring. Can pick up the lettuce/fruits I need also.

I decided not to do the laundry today. It can wait until the weekend. Not too much in there.
I did a few batches during the week, previously.

Changed my mind and am bringing cheese and crackers to the dinner. Nice little appetizer to go with
our glass of wine. Have it here, fresh and all cut up fixed like a flower. It is a double blend of
cheddar cheese, so it looks like a sunflower and the crackers are in the middle! Hope they enjoy it.

Maureen: Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better. Maybe it was a 24-hour thing. You are not being lazy - that's just your body telling you, you need the time to rest and recover from whatever it was that you had. smile

JDIs for today:

- Take DD to her dr's appt.
- Take DD to her gymnastics class
- water the back garden
- iron the blouse I washed yesterday
- pay 1 bill

- schedule donations pick up

Took longer at the dr's appt. than expected. DD was diagnosed with asthma, and given a breathing treatment. After that, I went to the pharmacy to get the prescriptions for inhalers (2 kinds) filled.

Good news, you have me in the mornings! Even though the rest of the week is busy it wasn't like yesterday! Hopping along from one thing to another. Did some cards in the evening though.

Hope all is well with all of you, and your JDIs are moving along each day as best you can.

Darlene:
You are a wonderful grandma. I think that would be a tad too long for me with the grandkids. I suppose if it is a necessity I could adjust.

Bless:
Sorry about DD and her asthma diagnosis. I know you and I both can sympathize with her.

My JDIs for today:

ETEing and PUPAing
Wrap gifts for DSIL/Christmas in July

Feed cats/mail inWork on blanket
Work on cards

Well need to do some more ETEnig this morning. Got the laundry done and put away, decided to wait on another of the batches until Friday.

Have a great day all.

Husband coming home tomorrow morning after a successful fishing trip in Alaska w/son & daughter (only woman at the fishing camp; she is a gutsy young lady for only being 5 feet tall & maybe 100 lbs.) So tonight I need to go pick up all my the stuff spread around from boxes in the attic!

Looks like the house has been ransacked!!

Once we came home from a trip recently & I had picked up husband at work to go directly to the airport & didn't get house put together before I left (due to not being functional w/pain stuff) so the bed had clothes all over it, stuff strewn about... When we arrived home about 1:00 a.m. from the trip, my husband looked around & said, "Have we been ROBBED?" The house looked like it had been ransacked, but no, it was my doing before leaving to pick him up (!!) so trying to avoid that "decorative" look tomorrow when he arrives home.

A few years ago we were out of town & our smoke alarm went off due to a lightning strike which notifies the fire dept. & luckily, our alarm co. was able to reach a neighbor who had a key as the firemen said they would have had to break down the front door to get in! My friend told me the firemen came into the house & said, "Wow, I've never seen such a clean house!" Now, they would call the police to report a crime!!

So my JDI--make the house look like a robber has not ransacked it!!

Suzy: love, Love, LOVE your sense of humour smile

I am in super slow motion. Think it is from my trip to the city yesterday, arriving home late (llPM) and hitting a deer on the way home... It always takes me a day to re coup from a day in the city.

I have dug out our passports, have called and left messages with my DC and DF. I've watered and weeded the flower and veg gardens ~ need to water my flower pots and tomato plant yet. I've pulled out a suitcase and just need to finish putting things in it... suppose I should think about something for supper...

Thanks for the laugh. I had an embarrassing moment when the kiddies were little, so I can sympathize with you. Love that the police were impressed with your "clean" version. Too funny about DH's comments about being robbed. Hope you were able to ETE!

Maureen:
Maybe DH will surprise you while you are gone. I missed where you are going, and how long? Just so I can relax, and so can you and have a good time.

~~~~~~~~~~
My JDIs for today:
ETEing and Spiffying today
Crochet group
Bring presents for Christmas in July Seniors
Drop off Book on tape at library
Laundry (small batch from the other day)
Gather up trash for pick up tomorrow (later due to holiday)
Feed DBs cats and take in mail, switch lighting
Trash out
Crafting? Did cards and some gift card holders
That should do it. Left the question mark after crafting, in case I am awake after the running, etc. LOL
Have a wonderful day all!
Was not able to completely ETE so husband did inquire about what the heck was with all the boxes & Christmas decorations?? As in it is 93 degrees out & I have Christmas decorations strewn about! Most are going to Goodwill or a friend who has a son w/a young family & can use them.
But I did manage to ETE the bulk of my "ransacked house" look.
Also made dinner & now need to do the dishes!!
Talked to kids & enjoyed looking at photos of the Alaska fishing adventure (minus bears & psychotic husband looking for bears this year as they stayed at an established "fishing camp." Daughter was the only female!).--Suzy
That is awesome that DD wasn't bored or frightened with the fishing camp. That is really wilderness in Canada from what I hear from others who have done that! Not my type of vacation at all! LOL I give her credit.
Bless:
You have been one busy gal.
Maureen:
Hoping for a safe trip and pleasant time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My JDIs for today:

ETEing and PUPAing
Mop ceramic floors
Feed DBs cats (they are missing their family!)
Cut out pattern
Luncheon with friend
Bring in Trash cans

Crafting

Wishing you all a fun filled weekend!

Had plumber over as had to get a new garbage disposal installed. We built this house & our builder put in the cheapest garbage disposal that has given us nothing but trouble. I don't even put anything down it, but the motor stopped working. Did have a coupon so I didn't have to pay for the service call (rip off anyway) but just for the new garbage disposal. They do already include the price of installation in the quoted price which is nice (& different from car repairs, for sure) & he had to reconfigure the pipes so he did have to do extra work.

So now need to make potato salad & cut up veggies for dinner. Husband is going to barbecue main dish.

Already did some JDI's:

**Forms for mail order meds w/scripts from docs & made copies of everything before mailing; also carry a copy of my scripts when traveling as I don't carry the large bottles (90-day-supply w/mail order) but just do the pill containers for the week.
**Need to fill out form for garbage disposal to get 8 year warranty.
**Already cleaned off papers (mail) from kitchen counter.
**Need to fold laundry.--Suzy

Got carpet padding out of hallway, took up about half the tack board, swept dirt--ick. Took two bowling balls and box of books to shed. Tomorrow, will work on getting the rest of the tack board up and cleaning bedroom carpet.

That had to be a huge job to complete! Good going, and good luck with completing that. What are you replacing the carpeting with, tile or more carpeting, or wood?

Suzy:
Busy as always. Glad the disposal will be better and working.
Can't have one here in the country...

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Up early, have a blood test at 7! Then out to lunch with DDIL's mom, and church and feed the grandpuppies, and the nephew kittys!
Then I can relax. I will be glad this will be the last day of feeding the kittys. They are lonely and I do pet and stay with them a little, but they miss their family. Haven't looked at next week's schedule yet! I did crochet a little last night.
JDIs for today:
ETEing and PUPAing
Test
Shop for pet food/ picked up some people food too, out of greens and fruit
luncheon
church
feed little animals
Rest
Have a great weekend all.
Hopefully all the little critter's families are home now.
Both arriving home late last night. Will hear from them, I am sure, today.
So am painting today, and cutting out the lining I didn't get to the other day. Taking a ME day. Even though I went out to lunch yesterday that was my reward for taking care of the critters.
Hope you all are taking a ME/US day. We need that at LEAST once a week. Personally ME hours are good everyday, and we all deserve them.
Diana: Glad to hear that you are having a ME day. smile
I sort of had one yesterday, since I slept in, went shopping, and took a nap! But, in between, I did other things like cleaning the bathroom, washing the sofa covers, putting water to the garden and baking a peach pie.
Today, will be a similar mixture of ME time and other stuff, I think. It will have to do. smile
JDIs for today:
- Sweep family room
- Put away the last of yesterday's shopping
- Take DD to another friend's violin recital in the afternoon/pick her up afterwards
- grocery shop for bread and bananas
- Do a load of laundry - DID 2 LOADS
- Put new ironing board cover on the board - AND IRONED
- Put water to the back garden
- water indoor plants
- Call in the p.m. to see if I am to report to jury duty tomorrow as instructed in the summons.
- If I have the time and energy, get a head start on tomorrow's routine and clean the kitchen tonight!
In addition to what was listed, I also went shopping for clothes (but didn't buy anything, only looked), replaced the battery in my alarm clock, fed the compost heap, took out the recycling, and did some ironing.
Home now. After the library (I also registered 5 new kids for the summer reading program, mom's have already have it! LOL)
I went to three different stores looking for the printer refill I need for the photos for DGS's graduation photos so I can finish up the last page. No one has it. Going to go to Kodak direct on line I think.
I came home ate lunch, and finished up the family room cleaning I had started. Rested and am reading now.
Good Morning
I was able to work in the family room a little yesterday. Put a rug down where I sit usually, keeping the carpeting clean.
Also removed the pads for the outside set into the garage. When needed I can retrieve them quickly. Cleaned the sofa of a couple of spots, and moved it out and vacuumed under it.
Worked in the bedroom, and dusted the blinds, wiped down the furniture. Today I will deep vacuum around the room and bathroom. Have to wipe down the mirrors, did the art work yesterday also.
JDIs for today:
ETEing and PUPAing
Check at Camera store for cartridge
Pick up stamps
Take Gypsy in for grooming
Visit with DDIL, and grandsons if home
Work on cards
Wishing you all a great day!
- clean out mail container in hallway
- clean kitchen counters and stove
- gather containers for packing
Consider stealing the energy bottle from someone! Wishing you all the best, and hope things work out for you.
~~~~~~~~~~
Things changed a little. Found a cartridge so I can print out the photos. The best thing was the grandsons were home and we all went to lunch together. One grandson and his mom had eaten out earlier, but let me purchase a drink for them.

Then when Gypsy was being groomed, she wasn't herself according to the groomer (I thought so too, drinking alot of extra water) and stopped at the vet on the way home. She looked okay according to him and I have to measure her water intake, but he felt with the heat his nurses dogs were drinking more water also.
She seems to be okay, but a little listless.

Am totally tired now. We had a cloud burst, and the streets were steaming from the hot ground and the cool rain. Sun is back out now.

Made some phone calls I needed to do this morning also.

Yay, I did everything on my list and more! Picked up the refills, took DD to gymnastics, put gas to the car on the way back, came home and took a nap, then, did the paperwork & filing, made sandwiches for dinner (too hot for anything else!), did the dishes, cleaned the bookcase and ironed 2 shirts for DD.

Called in to see about jury duty and yes, I am required to go in tomorrow! By 7:45 a.m.!

So, JDIs for tomorrow:

- Do civic duty and report to jury duty!
- Dust (living room, dining area, family room, bedroom, office/crafts room)

Good Morning
I was busy at my desk this morning paying bills. Wanted to get that done before I posted, and had to leave for the day.

This is the day I empty the baskets from around the house, and clean out the frig, as tomorrow is garbage pick up day. I will do that later this evening.

Today I have a card club luncheon. We share cards we have made from a technique taught to us last luncheon. Interesting to see all the various styles. Very reasonable only $5 a month, but you have to commit to 3 months. Missing another class, but am having a friend ask if I can make it up next week. Not enough hours in the day and I hate the stress of trying to rush somewhere. Would rather take the time and go in extra when I don't have to rush around.

Bless! You did great with your JDIs!!!! Sorry about the jury duty. Maybe you won't get picked, but it is an interesting experience. Had you done it before?

I had to leave on a train at 6AM in order to get to the Federal Building on time for the jury selection. Was fun, but so glad I wasn't picked it was just before Thanksgiving, and the judge (female) wasn't taking any excuses about having to cook dinner, she did too! LOL Very interesting experience.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My list:
ETEing and PUPAing
Pick up stamps
Go to class (don't forget cards!)
Desk day (still need to list bills paid)
Clean frig
Empty baskets
Work on cards started
Put out trash
Sure hope you have a wonderful day all!
Diana: Yes, I seem to get called to serve jury duty, at least every other year, and seem to get picked to serve on a panel just about every time, too.
Reported for jury duty this morning. Was included in a pool of potential jurors for a trial that is scheduled to start in 2 weeks' time. So, I don't have to do anything for 2 weeks.
Where I live, one can be called for jury duty every 3 years. I think they get the names from rolls of registered voters. What's strange is that they seem to call hundreds of people, then wind up dismissing half of them without having them serve on a case. That strikes me as wasteful, but as long as you show up and have your summons stamped, it does satisfy the service requirement for another 3 years.
Woooooo hooooo! I did both items on my list today (jury duty and dusting), plus, put water to the garden (front and back) and washed the 3 windows in the front of the house (picture window in living room, 2 bedroom windows).
JDIs for tomorrow:
- Go to work
- laundry
- vacuum?
Vacuuming is on my routine schedule for tomorrow, but actually doing it will depend on how hot it is - supposed to be between 100 and 105 tomorrow and I have no a/c in my house, so the house gets pretty hot. It was hot today, too, and I didn't dust until 10:45 p.m., when it had cooled off a bit.
Have you heard of an all house fan? Someone was telling me about it, and it cools the house, with a window or two open, and very economical! I had never heard of it, but it sounded like a reasonable alternative, and green. Might want to check into it.
It hooks up by the attic area, and pulls all the hot air out of the house and then cools it with the air it brings in....it was really new to me.
Have permission to go to two of the ceramic classes next week to play catch up. So glad I was able to have my friend ask for me.
Will explain to the teacher what the deal was with missing yesterday.
Going to:
ETEing, and PUPAing
Spiffying
luncheon
Pick up stamps (never got there)
Work on cards/craft
Pam:
It was good to see you are back from your vacation! You were missed. Saw how busy you have been since your return. YOU Go Girl.
Everyone have a great day.
When we lived in Georgia with no a/c we had something I think was called a "swamp cooler." It was a huge fan in one window & it seemed to be a special kind of fan (rental house of a duplex) & then it had small fans installed in other windows (though a few--not all windows) & it worked quite well! Don't ask me how!! It seemed very economical because I tell you we were on a VERY TIGHT BUDGET!!!--Suzy
Diana: Yes, a friend of mine said she had a whole house fan installed - but she's in another state, so I don't know how well such fans will work here - the outside air tends to be even hotter than the inside air, until later in the evening.
Suzy: I had a rooftop swamp cooler at one time and my nextdoor neighbors still have theirs. But I had it taken down because I didn't find it that helpful. Besides, someone has to climb up on the roof and fill it with water at the beginning of the summer and then, drain it out and cover it later in the fall. My neighbor has her husband to do that for her. I don't and I am not about to climb my rather steep roof to do that! I've crawled under the house, into the crawl space to attend to something, but I am not much of a climber.
I have received estimates to have central air put in, but it costs too much.
I didn't accomplish too much today. Went to work and attended to a few things, but that was all. Didn't do the laundry and didn't vacuum. Too hot to vacuum and decided to do the laundry tomorrow (it's only the blanket and quilt on the guest bed, so, no urgency to do them).
Well, all I can say is you are one trooper gal Bless. I don't like AC, but I sure do when we have the hot weather AND the humidity. That bothers me more than the heat...Glad your office is AC, at least some respite. There was a time a few years back, that many seniors lost their lives due to the heat, and not having any cooling in their homes. I believe the mayor initiated the cooling centers all over Chicago after that so people without AC could be taken to them during the day for relief. Sad that a tragedy was needed to change things, but at least he did it!
~~~~~~~~~
My JDI's:

ETE and PUPAing
Finally get stamps and mail bills

Return library book
Take neighbor out for her Bday luncheon
Mop floors
Work on cards

Have a great day.

Yes, we have cooling centers here, too. And there's always the Mall! laugh

JDIs for today:

- take the car in for a service - routine 3 month/3000 mile service - but wonder what they'll find wrong and need doing! Seems to be the norm when I take the car in for a service.

- launder the blanket & quilt

- ??? Hang out at the mall with DD? Bookstore? Library?

Oh yes, unfortunately there have been lives lost in this recent heat wave. The "swamp cooler" we had was in a window in the room, not on the roof or anything & didn't require any water; we were in Georgia for goodness sake--no more moisture was needed--humidity was prevalent! It was just some kind of super duper large fan that sucked air OUT (I THINK) & then we had smaller fans in other windows...

But as you can tell I do not know how it worked I just turned the darn thing on & asked when we were moving back to the west coast!!!

AND we did move back to Calif. in a year & a half (though one good thing happened in Georgia--the birth of our son!!). I'm not saying you Southerners aren't the sweetest people, but that humidity was too much for me & I couldn't get "iced tea" that was UNSWEETENED (like I want "ice tea"--yes, I call it "ice tea" with no sugar, no sweet n'low, no nothing!!)... AND I drink my (double) espresso w/nothing in it either!!

JDI's??

**UGH--Been out at appts. all day then met friends for dinner & really didn't want to go as have been out to dinner w/friends the last 2 nights, but did really enjoy the evening once we got there so just need to wash the coffee pot & brush & floss as that is about all I'm up for at this point!!

Bless and all,

I grew up without air conditioning, and finally got central air when I moved into an apt. Our family had fans in windows, sort of a cube-shaped fan in the living room. Where we live now, we have fans attached to the light fixture, although the fans and lights can be operated separately.

I've found that with fans, blinds, and windows (the latter two open or shut, all the way or part of the way), one can control the temperature to a considerable degree. I use these three as much as I can instead of AC and heat, to save on utility bills. And yes, drinking cool drinks can help, and timing certain chores, such as yard work, for the coolest part of the day in summer (it's relative - if the temp. will reach 100, then 80 could be the coolest time).

Now that I'm older (I guess that's the reason?), I find heat harder to take, but at least outdoors there's usually a bit of air. Inside, one can feel stuffed in a closet. Even if a slight breeze coming in through a window isn't especially cool, the mere fact of circulating air, moved around further by fans, makes it feel cooler.

I've heard one should leave one's home thermostat set at 80 when one is at work all day. Since we have three cats, we never leave it that high - and when we've been gone all day, it feels hotter when we come home, because the house has been shut up for hours. After the windows are opened, it starts to cool off.

Simplicity: Heard on the news today that Maryland had a 3.6 earthquake! Was it anywhere near your town? Did you feel it?

Today, I took the car in for a service.

Then, I went to the Sri Lankan store and bought special groceries and treats (tastes of home).

Took a nap in the afternoon.

Put water to the garden in the evening.

Called and spoke to a friend and a cousin; wrote to a friend.

Watched the kitten and its mother play - kitten is learning to pounce!

Didn't go to the mall or the bookstore since DD wasn't feeling quite up to it (cramps) and I didn't want to go without her (would have felt guilty if I was in an a/c'd place while she was broiling at home).

Froze the peaches, weeded the garden (lots more to go), picked tomatoes, went to the library. Decided not to redo the closet.

Take it easy in all that heat. I took a vegging day yesterday. Just caught up with me, the heat, all the running last two weeks. Needed to just sit and rest and enjoy sitting.

JDIs
Usual ETEing and PUPAing in house
Gather up laundry for tomorrow
Meet with friend at library

You know Simplicity, have you thought about being a PO? I know you said the house needs to be decluttered, but you seem to have some good ideas, and a level head on yours shoulders....just a thought. You could pick and choose clients, and charge what your local area price range is.

I tried it, and it wasn't for me. Too much physical stuff for me with the fibro, but at least I gave it a try and decided after that.

Simplicity, our Dancer kitty wants to know if he can become one of your cats! laugh

He wants to live with a kind lady who keeps her house cooler than 80 for her cats! At present, he lives with a rather unkind lady who subjects him to 90+ temps! :P

Since they are the same temps that DD and I are subjected to, I tell him that he has to learn to put up with it! laugh He copes by shedding!

I did give him a bath, yesterday, to cool him off. He wasn't too happy about it, but tolerated it without so much as a meow. I think he knew I was trying to help him cool off.

I think Diana's suggestion of becoming a PO is great!

**********
Not too many JDIs for me, today:

- Quick clean the bathrooms - DID 1
- Do a load or 2 of laundry - DID 1
- Weed in the back garden

It's probably different with the humidity but if I have the AC below 80º I FREEZE! Only turn it to 78º once in a blue moon for a quick blast.

Never turn the AC on until it's about 90 outside. Our house luckily stays very cool because we have good shade trees.

You know ChefSam, I keep it at 79-80, as I too have lots of shade trees, and it is usually the humidity that gets to me.
So, when it is humid is when I put the AC on. This is a well insulated house with the trees, etc. I get too cold also.
