Hi Sarena:
Welcome back. Take those deep breaths and one babystep at a time. Sounds like you have your hands full!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Couldn't sleep this morning so up early. Mind was working, but my body wasn't! !
Found my laundry line I purchased umpteen years ago to hang outside. Hoping to figure out a way to use it. DS2 should be over one of these days and might have suggestions.
Still gathering items. Have to price them next week.
Some friends and I went on a wine tour of three OK winey. We had so much fun. We tasted some really good ones and some not so good. Anyway I did bring four bottles home with me. We have another plan for maybe next week. I hope we go.
Today wasw spent with Df and working on getting a hearing aid from the VA. I do hope they will get him a couple of them. I'm really afraid they won't but hopefully they will. It would make life so much easier. Then we went out to eat with the rest of the family. An uncle and two of his girls were in from CA. Problem is they're deaf so it's hard to talk to them.
Tomorrow is going to be packed. I need to take the dog to have her nails cut. Then they are having my Aunts' 90th birthday party. Then is the church picnic and followed by a huge concert in the park. Somewhere I need to get something fixed for the picnic. I should go bake a cake now which I probly will.
Well I have a full tummy so I think I'll go put up my feet for awhile.
Oh Diana the cabin isn't all that far away. It's on the Ill. river and the area has lots of cabins. It is very select though. They have to vote you in. SonIl's family have a couple of cabins. I'm not all that thrilled about it. I know I'll see less and less of them because of it. But that's life.
Forgot to post that last week I did get the craft/school bookshelf set up for DDs. My craft/game shelves are pretty much organized (with things on them that need further organizing). Got a lot clear off the table today and some from the floor. this is the major dumping area and landing pad for things needing sorting and going upstairs...
Maureen:
That is good you have an area that you can dump and sort from.
WHOOOOO HOOOOOOOO Great going on the craft/school bookshelf being completed. That will keep the girl's busy while you work on other things.
Cindy:
Wine tasting is such fun! LOL I only did it in CA years ago. Should visit some local ones here. That may be a fun thing to do some weekend with the girls!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Went to the movies and an early dinner yesterday. Needed that time to sit. Thursday was a riot with all the various classes and ideas I learned, and my head didn't explode! I was worried for a few minutes. There was enough time between all three of the classes to rest! LOL

Have a great weekend and enjoy your family and friends.

Cindy- We go to wine tastings in Door County with another couple. I am the designated driver because we stop at 4 or 5 places and then for dinner afterwards. I am not a wine fan but I like going to them because people always seem happy there.

DH got the window in the sewing room and the trim around it on both sides of the room. I have to clean the window because it has been in our garage for 7 years. Today he put the ceiling brackets around the room. He rented a 360 degree laser level on Thursday and got his line perfect so he could hang the brackets.

Tomorrow I plan to paint the post and do some touchups around the outlets. I need to work about 2 hours in the afternoon for my paid job but would like to spend 2 hours getting the the jars cleaned and moved to the pickle cove.

DS over to help bring some bins up. He also powerwashed the floor in the garage for me. Such a sweetie.

Frugal:
Good going on the sewing room. Great you are recycling the window, etc. I'm getting so excited to see it!

Decided with the weather, (raining off and on all day), the time of the graduation, I was suppose to go to the party tonight, it will be way too late to go, so I called and made apologies and am staying home. I don't like to drive over an hour for an hour visit and then another hour home. Will give the gift to his grandparents when I see them tomorrow.

Made the potato salad for tomorrow.

Dianaro-glad you didn't travel to the party. Sometimes things like that just don't make sense.
~~~~~~~~
We sat outside for about 15 minutes and it started to rain and has been raining since.
After supper I went to the basement and did some work. Painted the post and around the outlet. Got 2 coats on it so I should be done with the purple paint for now. I cleaned the window and touched up a few spots on the walls by the window.
Took a pail of hot soapy water with me and got all the canning jars (empty and full) cleaned and moved to the pickle cove. The shelves are too far apart for the jars so I will ask DH to move them closer together so I can get more things on the other shelves. I need to make an inventory of the jars and put a sticker on the boxes so I know how many empties I have. The drywall dust is everywhere and it will take a while to get everything cleaned off. I spent 2 hours down there tonight and got a lot done. If I can spend 6 hrs a week wiping things off I will make good headway.
Everybody is doing so well with their rooms.
I, on the other hand, haven't done anything much, as I've been taking it easy while I recovered from the bronchitis. But I am feeling quite well now, so I don't have that excuse to continue being lazy. wink
Bless I'm glad your feeling better.
After church I went to the attic to work and it's way to hot to do anything up there for more than 10 minutes at a time. I was able to get Am Vets's donations down. I still have a few things I'd like to get down. I have and old B/W tv that I don't see any use keeping.
Right now the attic is a huge mess. I am running into a problem of how I want to lay it out. Since it's an olf house it has supports for the roof and that's what preventing me from moving things where I want it. Of course if I'd toss more I wouldn't need all the shelvings.
Right now I'm going to go rest and then go back up for as long as I can take it.
