Really want to go out and do a little weeding, however, the weather plays a big part in it. I do a little weeding while taking Gypsy out, but need to change the area I take her out in, and do other places. lOL

Simplicity: Aeonium is a type of succulent, so, yes, it requires less water. I don't know if it has a common name, but there are several different varieties, some with greener leaves and others with a more purplish leaf. The plants that I have tend to have the more purplish leaves and they send up yellow flower spikes. If you do an on-line search under aeonium, you will find several sites with pictures.

Very hot and humid today so we have the air on. It was miserable sleeping last night. It cooled off after the torrential downpour but not enough to make it comfortable.

Too hot to be in the garden. It needs to be weeded. It will cool off in a few days.

I put water to the front garden, again, today.

Picked more green beans.

Picked and shared the first peach with DD - very sweet.

Bless- I could taste that peach.

Tomorrow I have to tie up some tomato plants. We have tomatoes on that are bigger than a golf ball. Obviously the plants must have been pretty mature when we bought them. We might have a ripe one mid July.

The kohlrabi are ready but I am going to let them get bigger. I did that last year and they did not get woody. I like them sliced with salt on. MMMM

Some of the weeds tried to get to me, but I got them on the side of the garage, and working my way around the house! They look terrified~LOL

Did two sessions today, will do some more tomorrow. DS2 is suppose to come and put the water element in....

I hung my 4th of July wreaths also. Just put out a few things.

I got my paver bricks and put them along the left front of the house in front of the "garden" area and it looks great. I also did weed block fabric and mulch along the left side of the house and along the back left side of the house along the window wells for easy maintenance(esp since nothing grows well there anyway.

With all the rain, I have been reseeding the bare spots that resulted from not getting all the leaves raked up last fall, and in the areas the dogs managed to kill with their pee. Everythign has taken beautifully except that the new grass is a bright greeen compared to the rest so it looks a bit funny....but with all the rain, its all growing like weeds.

The ground cover out front is taking, so I am happy with it and I have used round up as a "border control" around the lily of the valley since it will just be too much work to dig it all up this year......maybe next year! smile
