A few days after I posted last time, my computer died on me. It was closing in on 10 years old, so it was time. Dad went the next day and got me a fancy new Dell. Just got it up and working after a few days of fighting with internet connectors and USB ports.

Today I:
-finished up a paper due Monday; submitted it electronically
-read the articles due for Monday, will finish the book chapters tonight
-went out and helped mom trim the old buds off the lilac tree
-finished rebookmarking all my favorites
-printed out readings for next week's classes

Had a fun day yesterday at training! The trip was over an hour, but I left early enough to get there on time. Met some really nice new people too. TYG I had no trouble with my truck getting there. Whew.

Got home by 3:30, made some phone calls. Made a quick dinner. Picked up a little and watched some tv, which prompltly put me to sleep!

Got real cold here too Diana, the heat was on during the night, and it's quite cold here this am.

Kristil, great going on the fridge. BTW, I sold my "second" car recently too. Paid some bills with the money and dropped my insurance rates quite a bit. It was just sitting and starting to rot, had to keep washing it and putting air in the tires. Glad I got rid of it now! One big piece of clutter gone! LOL.

Music, sorry about your 'puter, but you just reminded me to back up mine. Maybe will do that this morning.

Have a good day everyone..

Music-I go into withdrawals if my computer goes down! LOL Glad you are back up and running. I actually dreamed last night someone broke in my house and all they took was the computer AND my laptop!! Oh my!!

Waterlady- You win on the tossing thread for tossing your car!! My insurance will be about $50/month cheaper without the second car, about $600 in a year. Talked to my trusted mechanic yesterday and he agree to sell it for me if possible. Said he had sold 6 cars for people in the last month by putting a sign on them in front of his shop. Now I just need to clean it out and get it to him.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Busy day yesterday. Swept off the front porch, made some hummie juice for my feeder and put on the porch, hummies should be arriving soon. Found a robin nest in the back yard with 3 beautiful blue eggs in it.
Went to bank, paid insurance. Picked up prescriptions, copied my check stub at the portrait studio and had lunch with a friend. Went to mechanic to see about selling my car then....went grocery shopping!!! I am now the proud owner of a full gallon of milk and ice cubes!!!!!! I know sounds silly, but haven't had either in soooo long. Had such fun looking at all the things I now have room for!
Ok, a few days ago I told you all about the grandma fight at the portrait studio. Well, while grocery shopping two grandmas got in a fight at the register and were throwing groceries at each other. Cops were called and arrest made. What is up with grandmas lately?!?!?! shocked
Didn't get much done after shopping, just rested and napped. Got a movie to watch but fell asleep. Will try to watch it today. Supposed to be mid 70's so thinking of trimming up some shrubs in the yard and finishing up cleaning off the front porch. Put the new glass in the back screen door so I can open it now without escaping cats.
Bought a new cat toy, dangley with lots of feathers and a bell. Attached it to the platform of the cat tree. Mama cat is having such fun attacking it. I am loving her new attitude. She has never played before, too dignified I guess. If she sees me looking at her while playing she freezes with a look like "I wasn't playing!". It is so nice that she has finally after all this time become comfortable enough to relax!!
Still lots to do today so I had better get started! Have a great weekend!!
Kristil: You certainly lead an interesting life!! Never a dull moment, that's for sure!! Can't believe the Gmas throwing stuff at each other!! Ridiculous!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Crazy day today. Helping DH pack his stuff for his 2mos work trip. Kinda sad about that. But we have internet, webcam and a borrowed cell phone. That should help the time go nicer and quicker!!

On the same note, excited that Linda's on her way! She's got a full day of driving today, then should be here tomorrow afternoon. Please pray for her safety. As she crossed into one state, it had snow and ice on the roads. She hit it going 70 and started fishtailing. Thankfully she was able to get control and had to slow down to 45. The state she left had NO indication of bad weather. She said it was like night and day! Weird!!

Hope you all have a great day!

There was a family birthday party last night for 2 DGD's - lots of fun.

Today I've managed to get all my laundry done, visit a craft boutigue, watch another DGD all afternoon and have a delightful phone call with a dear friend.

It was too chilly and breezy to work outside yesterday, so I decided to start putting away the "heavy" winter clothes.

Got into the attic and worked in there for about 3 hours!! Put things away in their appropriate bins that were straggling around the house. Put some stuff on Ebay.

DGF stopped in mid day, we visited a while. Then Laura came over later as her BF is on the night shift and he was sleeping.

Need to make a plan for today, would like to color my hair but have to drive to the next town to get hair color. Then get some clothes ready, I have 4 days of training this week.

Hi ladies
All busy as usual! Music, good to see you again. I know the withdrawals, had that happen in Feb!

Kristil:
Is it something in the water down there?
Hope your meeting works out to your advantage at the frat!

Wendy:
Definitely hoping Linda has a safe trip! Is it a year already or is she just home for a visit and vacation?

Waterlady:
Sounds like you are enjoying the training. Good for you.

The government is sure spending enough on the census, should save it and then have the money they need for schools, etc. I just get upset with their paper harassment. Between the commercials and the postcards sent, you have to be stupid not to know a census was being taken! Sorry the soap box has been put away for the day! then I got two census' and when I called after 20 button pushes I got my answer! Disregard the second one! DUH! Don't send it!

PS:
Forgot to post with that little tantrum! Was able to finish the cards I started a week or so ago. Baked some muffins, made some split pea soup from the ham bone from DS2. Finished cutting the front bushes, now need to clean them up and put them in front. DS2 coming to help me today. Went to a family celebration and home about 9. Had a lovely time and glad I went. It was an hours drive both ways, but fun to visit and enjoy.

Afternoon all! Looks like lots getting done!

Rachel, glad to see you are up and running. That's not bad at all getting 10 years out of a computer! Know you're glad to have a new one going again.

Kristil, I think I need to move to your area...the grandmas there have all the fun! LOL Not sure what is up with that....whole new generation of grandmas I guess! Congrats on all you got done! You were very productive!

Wendy, will keep Linda in prayer, that had to be a bit scary for her. Glad you and dh have lots of fun ways to stay in touch!

Waterlady, glad the training went well. Sounds like you got a lot done inside!

Diana, apparantly the government is acting in its usual efficient mode! NOT!! LOL On a more serious note, read in the paper of a person here threatening a census worker if they didn't get off his property, then went in and got a shotgun and shot it into the air...can't imagine what goes thru people's minds! Glad you enjoyed the family celebration!

Did my dailies this morning before church, started up laundry again when I got home to finish it off. Also managed to get 1 purse made last nite and a goodly part of another ready to assemble. Then I have a new pattern I want to try. Not much else planned for today.

Oh thamks, Bonnie, a shotgun!! Just what I need to face with all my other problems with my family!!!LOL, LOL!!!!!

Just kidding!

Had a great day. DGF stopped by for tea this am quite early with her two dogs. (8am) Then I went to the store, got the hair color and a few other things. At 10:30 I started scraping the garage. By 3:00 I had most of the one side painted (primed) I quit cause it looked like rain. So I have only three more strips at the bottom to do and it is primed!!!!! Another MAJOR improvement done here!!!!!! YAY!!!

Laura invited me to the Elks for a dinner today, but refused cause I wanted to get the garage done. Sweetie, she brought me home a complete dinner!!!

Then I took Finn for a mile long walk to get some steam off of him, but totally exhausting myself!

Have some clothes in the wash for tomorrow. Still don't know what top to wear, the weather is very erratic here, so will have to get a few ready. Now I am going to color my hair.

DH is safe is Indiana; Linda arrived safely this afternoon; I'm home safe, exhausted from the weekend! Emotional overload!

Linda came home early because she couldn't get anyone to rent her home. So she'll be getting a job, trying to get her home refinanced, then seeing if the Lord wants her to go back. But for now, SHE'S HOME.

Funny thing...since her home is partially packed up from the time we thought we had renters...then they cancelled...Linda and her dd have decided to go thru everything and get rid of unwanted, unused stuff. Her dd already got her started and they filled 3 boxes!!! Too cute!!

The bug had passed to us and I'm going to be doing the same!! After this week, I'll be honest with myself and make some hard choices of what will stay or go. If it's a project that needs done...then I'm going to do it! No more talking...just working! I have two months before dh comes back and want some drastic improvements! (He already encouraged me to clean out the garage!)

SOOOOOO, better get some rest! I have a long two months ahead of me!! Cya!
