The kitchen counter is one of the areas in my home that looks really good most of the time. I make a point of tidying it up once a day, usually after breakfast. I don't mind a few homeless dishes on the counter or table during the day, but I want to make sure the kitchen is generally organized.
This is what it looks like right now.

The window is to the right of the picture, the door behind me. The red thing on the left hand side is a bread slicer, the small bag contains bread.

The little bowl with the clothespins is used for makeing tea.

The tea bags tend to fall into the pot and I don't want to go fishing. So I attach a clothespin which keeps the bag on the rim of the teapot. There are tea bag holders, but they don't work well. When I remove the tea bag I put it into the bowl to dry before I toss it, less mould in the garbage. The little round things on the fridge are kiwis that need more ripening. They are not potatoes.

And if you think there is more stuff elsewhere, no, there isn't.

Now the window is behind me, the kitchen counter to my right. The table needs a new tablecloth. Until I took the picture I didn't really notice that it's not just worn and shabby by now, but the colour doesn't exactly match the floor either.
