Simplicity, The initial effort to scan the documents is the hardest part. The majority is accomplished with the document feeder. I can scan a whole pile of like papers at a time. The smaller receipts fit 4 to a page. I certainly wouldn't do so many one at a time. After that, it's a matter of keeping on top of it. Just like filing, I simply do a couple a day.

I still get the paper bills so that DH would have them to pay if anything happens to me. The only one I don't get paper is the mortgage because if you pay online, they won't send you a paper bill anymore. When I go online to pay the bill, I simply download the statement and then shred the bill.

I don't have a document feeder, so it would take a lot longer. I'll keep that in the back of my mind if I ever decide to do scanning on a large scale. Maybe in the future I will decide to do that, and will get the appropriate equipment.

I admire people who can do so many things! Seems I run out of time. But I know that part of it is just making it a habit.
