We used to have this as a weekly on-going thread, but it fell by the wayside. However, I thought I'll bring it back up again, as an occasional thread.

Every now and then, on a random basis, we do some cleaning related stuff that is not on our regular schedule or list - in other words, random acts of cleaning!

Yesterday, for example, I washed my broom and the long handled dustpan that I use. Maybe some of you have that on a list of regular cleaning tasks, but I didn't.

So, here's this week's RAOC:

- wash your broom
- wash your dustpan

I used to love this thread! I had the broom and dustpan out yesterday. Now I have to go back to the basement to get it. :P

Lately I've tried just: leaving a room a bit better than when I entered, putting something away. It only takes a second and it adds up over the course of a day!

I have the back porch to sweep, and then will wash the dustpan and broom. They do need it. Thanks for bringing this back up.

I used to love this thread too Bless. It brought to light many things that I would skip over or just not think about doing.

In my recent bout of decluttering I find I now have 3 dust pans! One is a commercial kind with a long handle (like you see in malls and offices) the other 2 are the cheapy plastic one. Will clean those up and put in the garage sale pile!

I cleaned the dustpan, but haven't swept the back porch yet.
