I put some in DD's scrapbooking bag (she's 5 and loves to help me 'scrapbook'!) and I gave the rest to the playschool teacher to use for her year end scrapbooks she gives the kids. I never thought of selling them on Ebay though!

Oh my goodness I have just found this thread! So pleased. My short term goal is to make an album for one of my best friends who is moving away.

My long term goal is to make an album for my Mum's big birthday this year, am going to try and find pictures from her childhood right through to current day.

Will update as I go along....

In the meantime have just worked out how to save my photos in black and white! Small things make me happy lol!

I finally backed up my pictures to our external drive! I didn't realize how long it had been since I had done this so that is a good thing, now I need to continue to do this on a regular basis.

I do back up the pics to a dvdr when I have enough to fill one but I feel better w/another back up too. As time permits I need to go back and delete unwanted pics but that is for another time.

I need/want to get back into scrapping, so hopefully I can do that soon, I have so many pics and am very behind.

TurnItUp: something is wrong with my drive ~ the last time I tried to back up I ruined three disks trying...

Haven't done anything with photos lately...

I haven't done anything either. The weather is finally nice, so everything is at a standstill for now.

Canadagirl - Did you change the make/brand of disk you are using? Sometimes certain drives have issues with some types of disks so try to use one you have used before. Also if it's a dvd burner, older drives were either a + or - or +/- drive, so look at that.

The other thing to do is is when you go to burn the disk don't do anything else on the pc while the disk is burning and check the options or preferences on your burning program and maybe try to burn at a slower speed instead of the default max speed.

Do discs still play in the drive?

I haven't changed disks. I haven't been doing anything else on the computer while trying to burn them. I'll have to look for the slower burn speed. The whole puter is having issues, I think it might be dying a slow death (or maybe quick). I'm on a borrowed one now... Thanks, I'll check it out.

Canadagirl-Make sure you have your pics all backed up if you think the pc is dying, you'd hate to lose pictures. Do you back up to an external drive? Or at the very least you could buy a USB flash drive and move the pics to that then to another pc.

I have one cdrw drive that I cannot no matter what I try burn a disc on. Something is not compatible with the rest of the pc and it always gets errors on it. Right now we're just happy the pc works and basically just use it for the internet. It's running Win 2000 that shows you how old it is.

Sometimes the laser thingy that reads and writes will go bad. Also I'm not sure how you burn discs but if it saves a file to the hard drive first then burns to the disc that usually is a safer way to burn.

On an even older pc I had that had a 20G hard drive that was like full, there was no room to save a file so until I cleared stuff off I could burn any discs. There are so many variables when burning discs that it could be many different reasons why it won't work.

Turn It Up: Confession I really don't know what an external drive is - don't laugh! I think there were 170+ photos that needed to be backed up. But, most of those are uploaded to my photo center. I still need to order them. The ones that wouldn't be uploaded would be ones friends/family sent that I hadn't planned on printing. I do have the USB flash drive on my shopping list. Money has been tight, so it hasn't been a priority...

Dh will soon be through the busy season, so he'll have more time to figure it out...

I got more picture developed yesterday. I put them all in the proper photo boxes. I haven't scrapped for awhile, but I did get all of my stuff moved, so it is more accessable. I plan on getting a few pages done tomorrow night.
