This is hysterical, not only did the painter come out, he painted all the projects I had, in a day and one hour in the next morning. HAPPY DANCES GALORE!

This is a year delay on the painting that I "thought" about and finally did. There is alot now to put back, but because I am switching out the room that I had painted with my bedroom, I have a "staging" room, until the new carpeting is placed down.
This I haven't ordered yet, but will call and set up something for next week, and the bed....so once that is taken care of, I hopefully will be switching and moving along. What I cannot fit, I decided, will go into the basement until I feel up to finding a system to use in the closet for the crafting. Not going to be all in an uproar for months....not going to!

Turn It Up, don't ever belittle your efforts. Two items done out of 8 is one-quarter of the total. You HAVE done something, so be proud of that. You know what they say: "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

Suzy, something similar to your deleted e-mails happened with me last year when I got a new computer. I was using a flash drive (which I'd never used before) to transfer documents from the old computer to the new one. Something went wrong, and ALL of my documents were lost! The ones that I hope I'll never need again are those relating to taxes. Otherwise, I was sorry to lose some of the others, such as writing samples for jobhunting, and a number of checklists and other organization-related things. But I know the feeling: Now I don't have to deal with them any more. Regular winnowing of documents and especially e-mails helps to keep them under control.

When I finally get another job, I will with great glee delete all of the e-mails I've sent and received relating to hunting!

Turn It Up:
Do make lists of things to do, or items that are unusual, like the financial papers? If you did a babystep each night (even only 10 minutes) you may see the difference it will make in your life. That dining room table is your hot spot, and no matter what you do, everything lands on there, so use it, organize the items in a pretty wicker basket, so that you know where things are at.

Even with kids going here and there for practices, etc., you can still make the time if you really want to get things done. I promise you, it may take a little "talking to oneself" (I have to do that all the time with me, LOL) and JDI! Thinking about it takes longer than some of the items to do, honeat!

~~~~~~~~~~~~
I got the banisters painted from last year. Of course it is better for the wood to "cure" before painting them, so that is my story and I am sticking to it. Decided while the painter was here to have HIM do them, and the bench. Now tomorrow, with the warmer weather and no rain expected, I can plant my pansies into the side containers on the bench. Bring things up from the basement and decorate the porch!
Didn't plant, too cold out yet. Have been gathering and cleaning up the rest of the items that go on the porch so far.
Also did the screened in. Changed it around and washed all the cushions, pillows, afghan, tables off. LOVE the new arrangement.
Much more open and larger looking. Still have about 5 more windows to wash inside. THEN the outside.
Also need to uncover my table and chairs on the back porch, and hang the decorations on the shed. It is never ending, either inside or out, LOL!
Well, the one thing I have found out to be true is: things simply won't get done just because I intend to do them. I need to actually, physically, DO them! Yes, it maybe past midnight, yes, I may be tired, yes, I have other, maybe even better, things to do. But, I need to make myself do it for it to get done. Even if it means something else doesn't get done. But that is the reality of my life!
I fought thru lunch with myself to go order the bed for my room!
Finally decided today was the best day of the week to accomplish it and I did. The problem is this is now "CONSTRUCTION " season and every north, south, east and west street has some sort of construction going on or wooden horses set up, should they decide to do it! Anyhow it took longer than I thought but now that I am home and it is done, I am relieved.
Things being delivered and all are working out with time in between for me to straighten one or two rooms out before another one gets torn up. TYG!
Wow Diana, Great job on getting the bed ordered.
I'm happy to report that I mailed a package I was supposed to have taken care of the beginning of APRIL! It's a long story but IT'S DONE!!!
WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO ChefSam! Love when something P get done!
That happened when I mailed out the photos I found for family members......sent out about 8 packages only one called to acknowledge receipt. They never change!!!!!!!!!! LOL
Yes, both the bed and carpeting ordered, and the best part is they are divided into different weeks, so will have time to complete one room before the other one gets torn up! Might even have a relaxing summer! Do I dare dream?
Diana: That's great that you were able to order both! You'll have your rooms done in no time, at all!
