Yesterday's plans were changed after Bible study. Originally planned to do major shopping including a trip across town. But did get done with Bible study until 3:00, then used the church's wireless internet to re-file taxes. (Had wrong data for the confirmation of who we were so we could e-file! Ugh!)

Good news is that we just got one of the confirmations this morning that it was accepted and will get our refund in two weeks! Yea! Just waiting on the other now.

After the tax thing yesterday is was minutes from the time DH got off from work, so I decided to shop for just a few things needed at local store to get us through the night, then go out today. Just wanted to be with DH. Plus, we'll have more time today and won't be rushed!

We did survive the sudden rush of wind last night. Around 8:00pm we had tornado warnings. I really thought one was near us!! It scared me enough that I got off the phone with a business person, told the girls to get down stairs, and told DH to get out of the shower! I just praise the Lord everything was okay. I'm eager for daylight so I can see if anything happened.

Hope you all have a great day!

After I posted all the things I had done early I had a really bad day yesterday emotionally. Won't go into too many details as I don't want to get started again, but started crying at home. Cried the whole drive to work, while I was in the drive though getting breakfast and about 2 hours into being at work. Several of the maintenance people came to check on me, stayed to talk and got me functioning again!

Went back to lawyers office and think every thing is going to be okay from there. Came home and went to neighbor's across and talked to her until dark. Laid down waiting for Hells Kitchen to come on and woke up at midnight. Totally missed eating dinner. Had a bowl of cereal and went back to bed at 1 am. Woke up at 6:30. Got nothing done, but I was a mess.

Hoping today goes better.

There will be days when you are "a mess". That's totally normal. When that happens you do need to just work your way through them. As I have learned, it when you aren't willing to experience the grief and process it that you stop making progress. If you go too numb and repress it you aren't helping your self.

So....the message is, recognize them as normal, know that you will get through them and remind yourself that experiencing the grief is both normal and healthy.

It's great that you were able to accept the help of others and have people to go to when you need to talk--that's a very important part of working through grief.

Hang in there--there will be good days, bad days and ok days. We need them all. It is good that at least you could sleep. Savor the good days, work through the bad days and maximize the ok days. Don't forget to look at all that you've been able to do on those good days so far and try to just maintain that on the bad days.

A Big Hug to you and ongoing prayers.

Good for everyone. Just doing some Easter delivery to the Dgs today, church, and pick up meds. Would like to relax a little this evening. Picked up a couple of movies for the weekend in case there is nothing on tv.

Hope everyone has a safe and lovely holiday. HAPPY EASTER to one and all!

Kristil, KT's Mom said it right. Sometimes you just have to look at the next 5 minutes to get through a day. It's certainly ok to cry, try to get it out. (((HUGS)))

Yesterday I cleaned up the yard a bit, did 2 more bags of leaves. Took the dog for a run and I got a walk in. Stopped to see mom and threw in a load of laundry. Cleaned off my kitchen counter, washed down the front of the refrigerator. Washed and waxed the kitchen floor, it looks better waxed, I do need a new floor but not in the budget this year unless things pick up.
The kitchen looked so nice when I got up!

Today I am trying to get hold of a customer and do a job, then the post office and hopefully there will be some money there and I can get to the bank.

Have a good day all!

Yesterday, taught until 3:30, picked up some stuff for dinner on the way home. Had an early dinner, then went to get my hair cut. Ended up cutting off 12 INCHES!! I saved it, and will send it to Locks of Love once I find the address.

Today, I have an appointment to go check out a pub/resturant for my graduation party. The rest of the day, I'll probably relax..its my first day of break after all. But I should get my room dusted. I'll wait to vaccuum until tomorrow. DBFF will probably come over after work to see my new hair cut, so will chat with her, while watching the Mets game.

Good morning all.

Waterlady, sounds like you've got a fun Easter weekend planned. It helps that you enjoy traveling by train! Did you say a bear????? No wonder you don't want to use the scooper on it!! LOL

Pam, what great news to get the dressers early. That is always a nice surprise!

Mary, you certainly got a lot done! WOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOO!!

Sammy, you certainly were productive! Good job!

Bless, I'm with you on not going to the bank....have needed to for several days and haven't done it yet.

Helen, nice that dh cleaned the bedroom. Not so nice to have to prepare two meals. But you very likely enjoyed the company anyway.

Wendy, that's always a nice confirmation to get isn't it. Not too much longer to the overall deadline. It's a nice feeling to have it done ahead of time! Glad you were all safe last nite...praying there's no damage around.

Kristil...KT's Mom is so right, you will have these days. Don't worry about it, just go with it...it is all part of the grieving process.

Rachel, that's a lot of hair to have cut off. Nice of you to send it to Locks of Love! Graduation is getting close isn't it! Congrats on hanging in there!

Was busy at the church yesterday. Did a minimum amount at the funeral reception due to the wounded wing. Did see the surgeon and they will be doing surgery...hopefully this month. The surgeon and his nurse visit our town about once every 2 weeks and yesterday was his day here. They didn't have access to their surgery schedule so I have to wait til today at the earliest to find out when they can get me in. The nurse thought that he had openings still in April...I sure hope so. I want to get the surgery done (to repair a torn rotator cuff) and start healing well before summer gets here. It looks like I have a good chance of that happening. Will be nice not to be in pain!

Have a wonderful day all.

Kristil: (((((((HUGS)))))))) There will be more days like that. Just let them happen because that is part of the grieving process. I am glad that there were people at work who checked in on you and helped you get through it. Just take it one day at a time.

Helen: No, Good Friday and Christmas Eve, etc. are not holidays here - they are just regular working days. So, banks, offices, shops, etc. are all open for business.

Wendy: Glad to hear that you are safe. Hope there was no damage.

Waterlady: You've been busy! Bears? Oh, my!

Music: Wow, that's quite a bit of hair to cut off. But how nice that you'll be donating it to a worthy cause.

Bonnie: I like that - "wounded wing"! \:\) Hope you can get an early appt. for your surgery.

Diana: Sounds like you are all set for the weekend.

**************

The only "productive" thing I've done so far has been getting myself to the office this morning! LOL!

I'll be busy working on my document the rest of the day. The deadline came and went and now I am behind and still without the proper data I need to complete it! I am scrambling because the incomplete data I've received so far is only making things more difficult. Grrr. Can you tell that I am getting frustrated?

Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Kristil {{{hugs}}} prayers going to you. KT's mom said it right, you will be on an emotional roller coaster and we all encourage you to go to friends, workmates and those around you for support. Use the famous Gon'er Baby Steps twenty minutes at a time, or in 5 minute segments to get through tears and accomplish what you can during more calm periods. I hope you will push your plan to go for a swim at the community centre as exercise gives good endomorphs and more strength.

Our TV is showing tornados in Tennessee...I hope everyone is safe

Kristil (((HUGS))) There'll definitely be high days and low days. Just take them as they come and let yourself grieve ~ it is the path to healing.

Bonnie, I hope they can get you in quickly!

Bless, some days getting to the office is a feat worth celebrating. \:\)

Waterlady, Yikes! I hope the bear doesn't get too hungry and come too close to people.

Music, how nice for you to donate your hair.

I've had a headache most of the day, so going slow. I did make a phone call to cancel some t.v. channels that we don't need. Then, I went down to the basement to straighten up the play area and vacuum the area rug underneath. Yowzers! That was an ambitious project. In the process, I once AGAIN filled box to go to donations, as well as some some things in the trash. I'm pretty sure that toys are rodents...they multiply like crazy!!
