I hope everyone had a great Easter!!!
Kristil: Did your other kitty make it in? I'm sure if he got hungry enough, he'd come running!! (((HUGS)))
We made a last minute trip down to see family during the holidays. It was busy, but nice. Now I need to get all unpacked and laundry done. The weather was beautiful while we were there, around 22C!! We came home to 4C and it's going to snow up to 15cm today!! \:\( Sometimes I really wish we didn't live so far north!!!

Kristil: Just like kids those kitties. Hoping both are in the house now. Just what you needed. Kept your mind busy, didn't it! The little stinkers.
Hoping you are resting and feeling somewhat better. Did you call the grief line yet? It may be hard to do, but you won't regret it, I am sure.
Jenn: So good you could get away! WHOOOOOO HOOOOO Glad the weather is better...hoping the warmer weather hits here SOON! Today is rainy and gloomy. Good day to read or sleep. (In my dreams!).

Jenn, Snow?? Yuck...
I got my train on time and went to DD's for brunch yesterday. The timing was perfect, just as I got out of the station, DSIS pulled up so I wasn't hanging around! My niece came down also, so we had a great visit. Got back home before 5pm, then we went to Mom's for a while.
DB's were there with their families already, so Mom had company while I was gone. My DB (the one who just had surgery) looked great! would never have known he just had major surgery a few weeks ago.
Slept in a little this morning, need to go to the Post Office and bank today.

Morning all!
Kristil....one thing for sure, when the cat gets hungry enough, she'll be back!
Jenn, snow??? YUCKO! We've been blessed the last several days with temps in the 50's - 60's and sunny. The wind picked up today tho...it's blowing pretty good out there. Hope that the forecast is wrong!
Waterlady, Sounds like a great Easter for both you and your dm! PTL that your brother is doing so well.
Mostly puttering today....did get dgd to agree to vacuum for me. With a bum shoulder I just can't wrangle that vacuum too easily. Did my dialies and have a load of laundry going...one to fold, one in the dryer and one in the washer. I think there are 2 left after that. It will be good to have all of that done! Other than straightening the kitchen, I think that's my productivity for housework today. I'm trying not to over tax the shoulder.
I also need to call the surgeon's office and find out when they can get me in for surgery. The sooner the better I think.
Have a great day all!

Kristil: NUTS!!!!!! Glad you sat outside and rested and enjoyed the weather. Darn brats! Let them know you are not there to CLEAN, just cook. If the kitchen looks like that again, you will leave. HOW dare they!!!!! Act like their moms!
Jenn: I didn't see that snow was expected. YUCKO!
Bonnie: Glad your DH will help you out.
Waterlady; Don't you love when things work out that well time wise? Glad to hear DB is looking so good. Also glad they visited with DM.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Did a couple of cards, the alarm man is here. May read too. Not too much to do. Have another batch done in the dryer, but his equipment is in there and I don't want to mess it up. It can wait, it is only towels and dishcloths.
Krist: are the kitties ok?
Seems like everyone else is rocking along. Great job, ladies & hubbies!
Well, for past 2 days, I've bn cleaning & playing. I've bn really bad today. I did get my "clean" rooms back to their clean condition. I've worked on my taxes today as far as I can go but need some info from my mom. My goal today was to hv my pic taken at work (received an exceptional evaluation, which is the top marks you can get) & then come back home & work on my taxes all day. Mom calls bright & early, "Want to go get breakfast?" Usually we go out in big family groups but today just me & her. Told her I couldn't & my plans for the day. Well, after I left work (it was my off day today), I felt so good, I was dressed up, so I asked if she still wanted to go out to eat. Sure. So we met at IHOP & talked for a very long time. Felt really good because that's something that we need to do more often.
What I finally accomplished today tho:
**Bed Bath & Beyond (love that store) - bought mattress protector for my grandkids bed & had to explain to daughter about bedbugs & the importance of making sure the kids keep the sheet on their bed. Also bought the clips that keep the sheet in place. Bought some drawer organizers. One thing I didn't know. I asked the clerk if she had any 20% off coupons. She said they didn't keep them in the store but I could bring it back in anytime & they'll reimburse me. Wow! I told her I would hv bought more stuff if I'd known that. She then told me that their coupons never expire & I can get reimbursed at any store. I told her, "Now that's customer service." I hate hving to deal with deadlines & stuff like that. So I'll definitely be going back there.
**I've done as much laundry as I can except the load in the dryer & the load in the washer. What's in the dirty clothes isn't enough to make a load.
**Almost finished with taxes. Bn working on them off & on for 2 days.
**Hv my clothes ironed & ready for tomorrow.
**Took out one small bag of trash. I hv a very small garbage can, like the kind you wud put in a bathroom. This way, when it's full, out it goes (at least, that's the habit I'm trying to get into). Any bigger & it can just sit around for days with me trying to fill it up.
I didn't get to start on the kitchen today but feel the time with my mom & getting the mattress protector was so much more rewarding. I'd bn stressing about my grandkiddies sometimes sleeping on the bare mattress. Ewww!!! It's grossing me out just thinking about it. The mattress protector had pics of bedbugs on it so I'm really hoping this strikes a chord with my daughter.
{{hugs to everyone}}
