Arrived in AZ last night. We have another couple with us so that will be fun.

Finished my work at the tennis club before we left in the nick of time. Stressed before we left so the packing list really helped out as I had to pack in about 5 min. & have on the list all the things to get the house in order, too. I also put on my calendar before we leave on a trip when I need to put the mail & newspaper stops for the NEXT trip so I make sure I get that done.

JDI's for today:

**Do a rudimentary plan for the next few days of what we what to do & a groc list (husband getting breakfast items right now so we can eat out on the patio in the gorgeous sunshine) & my friend is a fantastic cook so she brought some new recipes to teach me (cooking school!!)
**Make an appt. for a massage; my husband plays tennis with the manager of a spa here so the manager had offered me the employee discount for all services!!!
** Do have to make a spreadsheet of ins. stuff while here, but will think about that later ala Scarlett O'Hara!!

Happy Sunday!--Suzy

Great going Kim! It is still too cold here to work in the screened porch. I am going to have to replace the carpeting, as their was a leak from the ceiling and I smell mold and mildew!!!!! Going to replace with tile.

You all did great yesterday.

I had a wonderful and learning time yesterday at the Ladies Day!
Funny speakers, lots of give aways, great food and plenty of it!
It was only $15 for the day! My friend got a test, and we were shown how to read labels to know how much calcium we are getting each day. Learned alot.

They had a life wheel in one class. Funny thing, guess what her main word was for organizing and changing our lives??????

F O C U S !!!!!!!!! Deep breathing is very important, and babysteps! Heck I could do one of those! Maybe I should put a bid in for next year!

Anyhow, today I baked the cookies (6 different kinds) Forgot one in the other post on Productivity. Bought 4 meals from a vender with seasonings, and you add other products and meat to it. I will give each family one meal seasonings, and TYG! I had the
other ingredients other than the meat in the pantry. So that is going to be fun to send something different and it will help them out during the week for cooking. I think they will like it.

Also finished the laundry I started yesterday. So I will put that away after posting. Going out for an early dinner and need to finish posting and get busy getting ready.

Suzy Enjoy your time in AZ...a massage sounds nice, I need one of those. Had them while I was pg but I should treat myself to them now every once in a while.

Diana; Glad you enjoyed your day yesterday. You would be great at one of those classes about Focus and babysteps. Cool idea on the meals, that I am sure helps out alot...though the cookies sound even better....LOL.

When for once the weatherman was right...what a beautiful day here sinny and in the 60s....makes me so much more motivated. Spent most of the day outside burning and cleaning out my flower boxes and putting some pansies in them. Then with the help of my 2 boys that are here this weekend got the screen porch cleaned out...whay a mess it was so much stuff accumulated in there over the winter. Glad its done. Also got 1/2 the floor out there washed as well and the deck all cleaned off and furiniture washed and up there...can you tell I am ready for the nice weather...I am wishing for summer!!

So here is what I did from my list plus the other stuff listed above decided to stop there and continue tomorrow

[*]Laundry
[*]Work in screen porch decluttering
[*]Outside burning
[*]Put flowers in flower boxes

Depending on time I would like to do

[*]Sweep and wash hardwood floor in the LR
[*]Dust and windex in LR
[*]Clean and reorganize 2 kitchen cabinets

Suzy:
Have a wonderful time in AZ, and also your cooking lessons. Sounds wonderful, along with the massage.

Kim:
You crossed alot off. Glad your day was nice. We got 2" of snow! The Lord was good and the driveways and walkways are all melted, but the greens and grass are covered. Sun out today, but weather cold. Poor little Gypsy is just as cold as can be, with her grooming, but I put her little sweater on! She looks at me like, What this again? LOL

Mary:
Great going on your menu for the week. I am still cleaning up things so each day is a surprise! LOL

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Doing linens from the bed, and some throw rugs. Also have some odds and ends to do, but the first priority is getting my kid's Easter packages ready for mailing tomorrow.
JDIs for today:
Pack up candy and treats
Enclose meals, and toys
Remake bed
Work on another shelf in linen closet
Make some cards
Do xstitch
Have a great day everyone.
I gave myself the day off, yesterday.
I did sweep the family room, but Dancer kitty found a box and packaging material that DD had left out and the room's a mess again! I griped about that on the ROTM thread, so I won't repeat myself here.
Today's JDIs:
- get breakfast! It's 11:00 a.m. and I've not eaten b'fast yet!
- pick up refills
- pay bills
- return empty food containers to temple
- call and make dr's appt. for a follow-up visit
- file
Okay so I got a little sidetracked but I guess in a good way...LOL.
I didnt get to clean the furniture in the 3 season room b/c it is rainy and raw cold and it was too cold out there to do it, so instead I started to go through a container on my counter and realized nothing had to be in it so I got rid of that, then a mug that housed pens and misc stuff, so I cleaned that out and put stuff where it belonged.
Needless to say I ended up cleaning that whole section of the counter. I had a large plastic container that had a bunch of medications in it. I removed all the over the counter ones into the closet with the other meds and used a small container for the kids perscription ones they use everyday. I cleaned another container that is DHs "catch all" space when he comes home from work he empties his pockets into it..his nursing stuff which often includes bandage tape, gauze and such. I put all that kind of stuff with the first aid and put a very small basket there for his pens, name tag, watch and scissors...I think he may get the hint.
Mow all thats on that long part of the counter are 2 small baskets, one with the pills and 1 for DH and the toaster...it looks much better. Now since I could see the counter I gave it a good scrub down, while I was doing that I figured I would scrub down the backsplash tile.....which was quite gross....LOL. They I went scrub down the side of the fridge that you could see next to that part of the counter and that was gross....I dont think I have ever done it since I lived here as it was covered with tons of magnets, so I never bothered. I removed most of the magnets and got rid of alot that were outdates calender types, businesses we dont use any more. Now all thats there is a magnet clip with take out menus and one with important reminder papers. Plus a few more magnet clips in case I need them for something.
So then I dropped something on the floor and when I picked it up I realized how filty my bottom cabinets were....LOL, So I scrubbed them down then I figured I might as well do the tops. So that one section of counters and cabinets is done....progress on my ROTM too I guess!! Its amazing how just doing one little thing can spiral into a bunch of other things.
So here is an update: I decided not to go to the bank and post office til tomorrow since its terrible out and didnt want to bring the girls out:
[*]Laundry
[*]Bank (TOMORROW)
[*]Address twins invitations
[*]Post office(TOMORROW)
[*]ETE and PUPA in kitchen
[*]wash, clean and windex 3 season room furniture(TOMORROW)
[*]Dust and windex in LR
WOW! I am tired just reading all that you did Kim, and not planning it yet! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO you did fabulous!
NOW sit down and relax if you can. You have to feel really really good, and hopefully the kids and DH will honor how clean it is and not clutter it all up again. Glad you found places for things that didn't belong on the countertop too.
Bless:
That nasty dancer kitty!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Took me over two hours to package up the items for the kids and their cards! I will mail them in the morning. Too cold to go out and I like being in my pjs. LOL Thought I would take a nap, but didn't read and worked on the linen closet. It is done.
Have some items to bring into the basement later, and then that will clear out the guest room.

Bringing over the basket to the local kids on Friday after services.

The fun stuff I may do tonight, but now I am fading from not sleeping last night. Hope to stay awake.

I'm back! I've been super busy and MIA - reading but rarely posting.

Bless, what a mischievous kitty! Naughty Dancer! But we love 'em anyways, don't we?

Kim, that is an impressive list of "dones". You did awesome! Be sure to reward yourself for your hard work.

Dianaro, busy as usual. Well done!

we had a houseguest for a few days last week so while he was here, I primarily did maintanance type stuff. I was away all day Thursday and Sunday. Friday and Saturday I wasn't feeling well - had a real bad case of the "lazies" combined with tears close to the surface. I'm not completely past that yet but I'm definitely better than I was.

This morning I led the ladies Bible study. It's quite enjoyable! This afternoon, I've been working on non-physical tasks. I didn't sleep soundly last night so I don't have a lot of energy today. I managed to select and submit the list of chat topics for my online slot. I have a local church leadership meeting to go to this evening. I don't know that I will get much else done today besides the little bit of maintanance that I am in the habit of doing.
