I took another day working towards a "done list" -

I went to church this morning, came home fixed lunch. I then baked up a batch of buns and did some reading. Fixed supper and now I am relaxing with my computer.

I have my Bible study tomorrow morning and then I'll set up a list for me again. I need to get back to setting goals rather than doing whatever!

Hi there!

Didn't do much on the weekend since I was a little under the weather, but did get all the washing and ironing done, and today I took my husband's drycleaning to the drycleaners and will pick it up on the way home.

Tonight after work : I will make a nice salad and cook chicken kebabs for dinner.
Pick up stuff around the house and put away.

My JDI for tomorrow Tuesday is :

Go to work.
Bring in to work some clothes for my friend's daughter who might want them.
Ring up and get someone out this Saturday to fix dishwasher which has died again.

That's it for now.

Hugs

Had some depression return (have been taken off some of my medication that has been contributing to my weight gain that was for depression) but am just going to learn how to cope!! My husband is helping. Skills I'm learning in group therapy/class will continue to help, I'm sure.

ANYWAY--today's JDI's

**exercise
**write in food journal
**do work I brought home (about 8-10 hrs.)--just about to start
**put dinner in crock pot
**read motivational book (done)
**write in journal (done)

HAVE A BETTER DAY--Planning on it!!--Suzy

Hi Suzy!
So good to see you again. I hope you had a lovely time in AZ.
Still cold here in the midwest! But yesterday in the upper 30s felt like spring for goodness sake! LOL

mary:
Wow that is alot of Emails! How do you ever get thru them all?

Ingrid:
Sounds like a great plan to keep things running smoothly, even working. Good for you.

Darlene:
You did a ton of things last week. Deserve a day off now and again. We are people, not robots! Although some days when I am tired you would wonder about me! LOL

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I surprised myself yesterday with all these "little" things I accomplished. Happy about it all. Finished sewing the purses I crochet and just have to add a button closing and a hook closer.
Watched a Closer Marathon yesterday and really enjoy that show.
I also was doing sewing while watching it all. The garage looks good (for winter time anyhow) and the basement is looking great!
Still some areas to go, and want it to look somewhat neat, and still working on a plan for those....but nothing like it was when I started!
My JDIs for today:
Try and finish purses
Appt in AM Pick up dinner from DS2
Make some calls on schedule for
this week
Do laundry
I'm going to quickly post before I have to run!
I will be leading a ladies Bible study this morning. I'm really enjoying it - I've heard the teacher learns the most and I think that's true. But before I go for that, I've got to do a quick personal clean-up and get dressed. I also pick up a couple of ladies on my way to the study. So that takes care of my entire morning!
I have no idea yet as to what I will be doing this afternoon. It depends on what DH does this morning - I think he has the closet ready to start the painting process. If he doesn't put on the primer, then I'll do that this afternoon.
I'll be back later with whatever I decide on for this afternoon. Have a productive day, one and all!
Dianaro, our warm weather is gone again, replaced by below 0 F temps - brrrrr.
Kim, good for you for taking a relaxing ME weekend. So did I!
Today it's back to routines -
I went to my Bible study this morning. It was good - I felt as though one of the ladies had a "light bulb" moment. That makes the teacher feel super!
When I got home, DH had started priming the closet - it still needs to be finished. I'm not sure yet which one of us will do that - maybe a team effort? \:\)
I bagged my buns from yesterday and put them in the freezer.
I prepared an easy lunch for us, ate and put the dishes in the dishwasher.
My JDI list for this afternoon -
- finish putting primer on the closet build, clean up equipment
- buy ink cartridges for my printer. I can also return the charging cable for my recalled cell phone - I got the phone changed last week but forgot to take the plug-in to the store with me.
- purchase fabric for the back of the queen-size quilt
- get a prescription refill
- prep for my next Bible study
- work on MRRP proposal (I seem to be "log jammed" on this project but it isn't creating havoc in other areas of my life)
- M's wedding gown - put together a scrap-fabric fitting bodice
- work on my various quilt projects
- take a bunch of empty canning jars to the basement (I've been ignoring this "mess" and it's time to move it!)
Darlene: Good for you taking a ME weekend too.
As for me I am far from motivated today. Tires from all the relaxing I did over the weekend I guess....LOL. Did some PUPA and sweeping but thats it.
****Warning rant ahead...feel free to skip over it****
Got a call from the elementary school that my step son age 10 had a "belly ache" Honestly I was ready to scream. He hates school...this we know but he has to obviously go, he was fine this morning and today is a day they go to their Moms and basically was trying to get out of school early knowing shes a push over. What he didnt count on was that they have our number for emergencies but I told the school to call his Mom so I didnt have to drag the twins out, of course she is no where to be found and doesnt answer her cell so I have to drag the girls out, though the school was nice enough to send him out when I got there so I didnt have to bring the girls in.
Surpirse surprise...he was perfectly fine. Acting all full of energy and what not, but I didnt want to tell them send him back to class in case he really was sick but I know him like a book. He has missed 8 days of school, tardy 14 times and dismissed 6 times this year all under her care the few short days a month he is with her...we got a letter from the school about his attendance and DH explained it was all her as he has never been absent, late or dismisssed by us in 3 years. I think he may have to go back to court and get the boys during the school week all the time because its not just him its his brothers too. He wants to be home schooled, not that I have a problem with that but she wouldnt follow through with it and honestly I dont have the time, plus he needs to interact with kids his own age he is very socially immature.
Anyway that just set off my day and I am aggrevated that it cut into twins nap times so they are off schedule and grouchy and I need to read my Hamlet book!!! Their Mom just showed up to pick him up and I put the twins in for a nap, was going to take the big boys for their permit, but once again life gets in the way thank God they are good about it. DH is working til 11pm so hopefully after the girls go to bed I will be able to read other than that I dont think I am getting much else done.
Heres my update:
[*]Laundry-2 done 2 to go
[*]PUPA in Kitchen and LR
[*]Wash kitchen floor-swept but not washed
[*]Call doc for DSs script
[*]Call customer to schedule appt for repair for tomorrow
[*]Read Act 1 of Hamlet...ick
[*]Clean off desk
[*]Clean off DR table
[*]ROTM
[*]Work on taxes
((((((HUGS))))))). Do the boys have problems with the teachers or are just knowing they can get away with going home to mom?
Well, you know you and DH care for them. That is so sad, for the children.
When stress and things are happening who can concentrate on doing anything? I know I cannot.
Darlene:
You sure are doing alot. So happy to hear your lady got a light bulb moment. Those insights are so exciting!
Had to laugh about your buns being bagged and put into a freezer! I had forgotten you baked those! LOL Thanks for the laugh.
Just doing laundry now, and will eat dinner after I changed.
I came in and let Gypsy out and came right to the computer to say Hi!
