Since Feb. is a short month, anyway, it makes sense to start it a couple of days early! I'll have 2 major projects in Feb: 1) Prepare for the religious ceremony to be held at my home on Feb. 8: clean house, plan menu, remind invitees, cook, clean up afterwards, etc. 2) Prepare for DD's 16th b'day: invite guests, clean house, plan menu, cook, bake the cake (sweet 16 = basket of roses?), clean up afterwards, etc. In between, I'll be working on other projects.

Oh, I forgot the dinner on Valentine's day! That isn't a big deal. Have to do the floors yet, but need a break first. I did a big shopping today. Knocks me out!

Was able to work on another craft project, almost finished just need to add buttons and a closing. Ironed on the lining and then tacked it to the purse, sewed the purse together. Much easier to line it that way! Learned my lesson the hard way. LOL
Will be working on baking this week.

I have started to knit socks for a change. Making a pair for myself, with leftover yarn. Finished one sock and started on the other, yesterday. The cuff is knitted with two shades of leftover blue yarn and a bit of red for a pattern, the foot is knitted with leftover pink yarn.

Sounds really nice Bless. You are in good shape for your gathering of Sunday it sounds like! WHOOOOO HOOOOOOOO Queenie!
I went and had my topiary xstitch pattern enlarged. So hard to read the symbols the way they are printed. Started that about 4 years ago! Really want to put them in the front hall, at the change of seasons. Hopefully I will!

May this isn't a "project" in the conventional sense of the term. But until I get my taxes done, that task hangs over me and keeps me from doing much else. I've had several occasions when I filed at the last minute, or filed an extension. The point is, we still have a deadline, and the wear-and-tear and stress don't leave us until the tax return is sent.
For reasons I'll not get into, my return is complicated, and takes a long time to complete. The sooner I wrap this up, the better I will feel, and also feel that I have the freedom to work on other things I'm eager to do, such as repainting some rooms.
So, maybe by the end of February my taxes will be done.

Simplicity: Taxes are most definitely a "Project" in my opinion! Break it down to smaller tasks, such as gather all necessary documents and forms, set up appt. with tax preparer (if the services of one is used), etc. and the project will get accomplished before you know it.
