Jenn - good luck getting new games! Just curious - what is considered "nice out" in Northern AB?

Donny - so you're shoveling too - what state/province are you in? Glad you're getting on elliptical regularly!

Maureen - pulling WEEDS?! Yuch, don't miss that! I'd rather shovel - at least that ENDS! Glad you're still hiking! Where would you ski, if you skied?

got to gym today - 10 min on treadmill, 30 min stretching, 30 min free weights that trainer showed me. Now I just need to visualize myself as the thin, strong woman I was 15 years ago (when my boyfriend and I went hiking/biking/exercising DAILY!). I love working out at the gym - I just need to GET to the gym!

LOL!! Dog Mom!!! Today it is supposed to get to 1C which is 33.8F. Which is very nice for here! I don't know what the weather is like where you are?

I didn't get the last walk in, by the time I was done on the computer, I was wiped!! So I had a shower and went to bed! Today I plan on walking DD to and from school and at nap time trying to get a workout in as tonight is my volunteer night at the library.

DogMom: I'm in Nebraska. I'm seriously ready for spring (not that it lasts very long). This morning's temp was 1 degree. My poor dogs want a walk so bad, but.....I can't walk them in this.

I kinda sprained my knee last night, slipped on some ice. Am going to go try to do my elliptical today. If it hurts to much, I might do weights instead.

Update: I was able to do 25 min on the EL. \:\)

Just took one of my dogs for a short walk. However, the wind is blowing pretty hard and there are still snowy and icy patches, which makes it hard to walk.

Have been walking on the treadmill lately since temps haven't been above freezing since... seems like forever. Today it actually is around 40 but we have left over snow and ice melting so not a day for outside walking, so will try to do the treadmill again.

This week from what I remember I did 30 mins walking Mon, 30 mins Tues, and 45 mins yesterday. I have added doing some small handweight exercises to a couple days a week while I walk on the treadmill. It makes the time go by faster. \:\)

We did go to the snow ~ what was left of it. Trudged up and down the sledding hill for over an hour.

There's a peak in Flagstaff, 2hrs North. It is 1100 ft, 7000 at the base, so they do get snow there, just not every year. There's also skiing at Sunrise, which is NE about 2 hrs. I haven't been there though.
Not in the budget this year, sigh...

Donny - NE is definitely cold AND wet AND windy! (DH is from Lincoln.) Glad you're getting out somewhat and on elliptical! You're being consistent, and that's good!

Jenn - this week is supposed to be in 50's, last week was in 20's - typical winter... Yeah, I think 1C for you would be REALLY nice! When we had a week of 0, we thought 30 was Springtime! Yeah, if I don't get to gym in morning, I just get too much other stuff to do, so I know what you mean!

Turnitup - glad you're getting on treadmill too!

Maureen - sledding sounds fun! I think everyone's budget took a dive - we go skiing cuz we already bought the passes and need to get our money's worth out of them.

I've been walking dogs - not getting to gym in morning, so not getting to gym either - will need to make a conscious effort next week!

I didn't do anything workout related yesterday. After I am done here I will do my biggest loser dvd. I ordered a dance workout that looks fun! It should be here Tuesday.

We went and looked at a few ellipticals this morning. They are still a bit pricey for me. Maybe in the summer they will come down in price more.
