Kim: What a stupid thing to tell her over the phone. I am so sorry for her little puppy, and for her! (((((HUGS))))))).
Moms are great when they help out like yours did! Good Mom!
Darlene: You are having one busy day. Wow, good for you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Geez, without the computer I HAD to work! I did a few babysteps downstairs, and found more magazines (they have to multiply down there) and went thru them, and put them in the recycling. Also got all of mom's art work together in one spot. I found two pictures that have an "asian" feel to them that would look great this summer in the hall bathroom.
Sorted thru the Valentine decorations. Have just enough so I really did donate some. I also did some PUPA in the craft room, and the laundry room.
I brought up the trash bag and some boxes for the trash put out tonight. It snowed overnight, but just a dusting. That makes the trash cans slide down the driveway easier! LOL
So now that I am on here I can rest! LOL Still want to work on my project. No more JDIs for today
Kim: (((((HUGS))))) to your DD. I am so sorry to hear that she lost her puppy. ((((HUGS)))) to you, too. Some people have no tact or sensitivity, do they? Darlene: You are doing well with that painting. And thanks for the hint! Well, yesterday's listing worked out quite well - I knitted on the scarf for over an hour AND I picked out one item on the NOT JDI list (  ) and cleaned the chandelier! So, today's JDI: - finish knitting the scarf NOT JDI's: mail packages buy stamps mail bills bank vacuum clean the kitchen cabinets
JDI update - (2:30 pm) Bless procrastinates with her filing; I procrastinate with cleaning my bathroom. It's still waiting on me  I should just go in there and do it! I finished painting my walls, painted a color sample card and cleaned up the equipment. I have about a quart of paint left for repainting the one wall after DH installs a new window in the spring. The old window does provide a good supply of fresh air - unfortunately when that fresh air is minus 30 degrees, it's not a good thing. I still need to paint the area that will be inside the closet - I want that area white. I got my haircut (had a visit with my hair stylist who is also a good friend), checked on my electronics order (it's not at the store yet), and purchased a teeny piece of fabric for my quilt enlargement project. My hair stylist, the fabric store and the electronics store are all on the same block. In addition, I walked so I got some fresh air and exercise. I need to check my dishwasher - I know I started emptying the clean dishes out of it earlier but did I finish? It also dawned on me that today was "payday" (our money is automatically deposited to our bank accounts) so I went to the online banking site and paid our monthly utility bills. Before the end of today, I must get that bathroom cleaned and I must get the prep done for tomorrow's Bible study so I can email the lesson plan to 'A' and 'D'. I better go get that bathroom cleaned as soon as I get off this silly computer. No one else seems to be coming to clean it for me.
Oh, no one showed up Darlene. She must not have your address. I bet when you do the cleaning you will wonder why you waited so long to complete it. I do that all the time. More energy thinking than JUST DOING IT! LOL
I'm quite a jokster today, don't you think. (I know Bad jokster!).
You did alot,and walked in the cold? Good for you.
I know exactly what you mean, Dianaro... I spend far more energy procrastinating than just doing it! So, earlier I got off my duff, put cleaner in and on the bathroom fixtures, went downstairs, started a load of laundry, worked on my quilts for a few minutes, came back to the bathroom - wipe and swish - DONE! Now why did I keep procrastinating on that? Maybe because I've been doing other jobs like the painting. It's not that cold right now. The wind was chilly but the air temp is at least above 0 F so it wasn't bad. Yes, I know - that's when it's obvious that my brain froze in the colder weather! And yes, I had finished emptying the dishwasher so whenever I'm in the kitchen I can transfer the few dirty things from the sink to the dw.
Hi there!
It's now Thursday 11.10am, and I've only now had a chance to sneak a look in here, while the bosses aren't here.
Everyone has been very busy!
Darlene : good on your doing the painting. My ROTM for February will involve painting too, in between the hot weather we are having. Adelaide and Melbourne are absolutely sweltering this week! While at the other end of the world it's super freezing. Go figure!
So far I've done today :
Gone to work.
On the way to work this morning:
Bought a pair of shorts. Didn't have a pair that was suitable for wearing anymore.
Dropped off a watch for repair.
Organised an appointment for this Saturday.
Still to do :
Buy a watch for my husband. A shop here is closing down and has 60% off sales. It's closing tomorrow forever.
When I arrive home :
Do 15 mins more of ironing. I find it best nibbling at the pile.
Empty dishwasher.
Cook a yummy dinner.
Clean up kitchen.
Have fun everyone.
Hugs.
Ingrid, another 6 months and we'll be sweltering and you will be freezing. Good going on all you've been getting done in spite of the heat!
Last evening, I ended up chatting (online) with some friends and didn't do what I had planned on - lesson prep. This morning I have to get that Bible study lesson put together and emailed off to my "co-leader". The study is this evening and it would be nice to give him some time to look it over.
This afternoon I go for my regular eye check-up with my optometrist. I'm expecting that he'll use "drops" which means for the rest of the afternoon my eyesight will be blurry. I should be OK again by 8:30 when I do that study.
I had planned on going downtown this morning with my mother but I called her up and asked if it would be a problem to wait until tomorrow. So that has been moved to tomorrow morning.
My JDI summary (in list form) -
- Bible study prep and email - work on MRRP proposal - ETE and PUPA throughout house - move load of laundry to dryer, fold and put away - baby step with boxes (I'm beginning to procrastinate on this - it hasn't formed a "log jam" but it's not getting done) - eye check-up appt (at 1:25 pm) - rest, relax, have a nap, etc (while my eyes return to normal after the "drops") - lead online chat at 8:30 pm
Ingrid: I agree with Darlene! You have done a lot despite the heat there! WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO I hope you find a great watch for DH.
Darlene: I do that all the time with the baths. Sometimes I forget to go back and finish, but it actually helps clean things better. Added baking soda and vinegar to one of the sinks and the toilet this past week. Hadn't done it in a couple of months. Natural and keeps things moving while it bubbles up!
Wow, a plane just flew overhead very low! A little one but wondered .......
So far, I PUPAd. Don't know why, but I had left a few things around in different rooms. Finally got those done this morning. Cleaned off and dusted my desk. Worked in the Craft room also. Re-framed a photo of my Grandpuppies (Had to cut it out of a card), as before I only had the one dog's photo. That is Procrastinating mark off my list too!
JDIS: Vacuum kitchen area Finish up display on mantle Mop kitchen area Write shopping list Talk with DB re dinner tomorrow
Wow everyone has been so productive this week. I think even just recognizing when your putting something off, is showing the mindset that your ways have changed. This week I've been focusing on the ME time, just not getting enough of it in. I think the only way to hold myself accountable is to put it on a schedule, simple things like do a manicure seems so easy to put off. So far my main focus has been get to the gym, especially given the March vacation I planned and the need to get into a bathing suit early this year YIKES! So JDI today -Gym -Dust LR and Office -Laundry -Cook dinner -Clean out some photo's on PC
