Hi there!
Hey Used2BMessy, you can have some of the heat, yes please. Yesterday it reached 41C which is a little hot! When the southerly hit, it was such a relief! and it was so good that the cool change happened before bedtime, otherwise we would have been sleeping in the loungeroom where we have air conditioning.
Yesterday though, I managed to do a real cleanout of our wardrobe, haven't finished yet, but 3/4 is done. Yay!
Since it's now Sunday 9.35am, my JDI list for today is quite small, since we will be visitng my MIL in the afternoon. And best of all it's 25C today. Yay!
My list for today :
go to factory outlet store with husband and buy shoes for him for work, his shoes have died.
pick up pillow from laundromat. (it's a feather pillow, which needed washing and drying. We could wash it, but drying on the line didn't work - the feathers stunk.- we don't have a dryer since ours died -).
Water the garden. We can do it Sundays and Wednesdays (water restrictions), but we did notice a lot of people sneaking a hose onto plants on Friday evening in preparation for the hot day yesterday, we did it too.
Have fun today. Everyone is doing great.
Hugs.

I got my bedroom primed - what a job! I found I was short of some of the equipment I needed so I went to the hardware store with DH. Getting set up and painting took up much of my day. I'm tired now. I think for the rest of the painting, I'll plan on doing either ceiling or walls each day - not both.
I also got quite a few of my smaller tasks done today -
- lead chat online (15 min long) and send in report DONE - read Bible, "supplemental" book and lesson for Monday's Bible study (baby steps) I read the Bible passage yesterday; I'm hoping to read the corresponding section in the supplemental book today (as a "rest break" from painting?) BABY STEP DONE - quick kitchen clean - mainly PUPA clean dishes out of sink and anything that didn't get put away yesterday KITCHEN IS PRESENTABLE - clean bathroom NOT DONE - maybe go downtown to get fabric for finishing quilt enlargement project. NOT DONE BUT NOT A PRIORITY EITHER
I'm satisfied that I got a decent amount done today. I didn't finish everything on my list but that's OK. The other things will wait for another day!
In addition, I spent a bit of time with a couple friends - 'R' asked me if I could find (and print off) an online obituary for her plus I chatted with 'M' when she stopped by to drop off the material for her wedding dress. 'M' is like a daughter to me and I'm making her dress as her wedding gift from me. Expect that dress to show up on my lists!

What I actually got done today (forgot to add some stuff to my list): 1. Posted online announcements for all six classes. 2. Set up discussion boards for all six classes. 3. Posted first discussion topic for all six classes. 4. Posted reading assignments for all six classes. 5. Scanned through two chapers of textbook, and made two study guides, and posted them to six classes. 6. Printed some stuff on existentialism, to read later. 7. Did a bit of browsing for books that might work for a course this fall. How odd...someone had sent me an email with a link to a company with books of interest. 8. Read email. Answered about 15. 9. Set up assignment area for 3 classes. 10. Designed writing assignment. Posted to three classes. 11. Took time to chat with DH online & on the phone for a couple of hours. (We live in different states now, after almost 20 years of marriage. This is because of our jobs.) 12. Began looking for some resources for one class, but quit because my eyes are sick of the computer screen. Of course, I'm still online anyway... 13. Delegated: kitchen clean-up, taking stuff to the car. 14. Had a glass of wine. I deserve it tonight...8 hoursof staring at a computer screen is rough on the eyes.
Still to do tonight... Check my to-do list for tomorrow. Possibly read for a while. Maybe print off some more stuff...unlikely. It's 10:30 and I'm zonked...

luvmymastiff -- Thankfully, that's a 2 day list. There were actually a number of things I missed putting on though, as I found out when I sat down to work. Whew. There will actually be a couple of things I don't get done, I'm sure. Ah well. I'm doing them in priority order. That means WORK stuff first, home stuff later.
Used2BMessy -- I'm pretty sure the software is in my software case. I need the CD...but will check for updated drivers. (I nearly went crazy one night without the CD trying to get it to work...saw it recently...I'll probably put that task off til next weekend. It's low priority.
Night all! Tomorrow is another day, but at least my list is shorter. Some of the things on it will take a long time, though.

Wow you ladies get a lot done on the weekend. Yesterday I took a nap and screwed up my sleep for the evening. Today I still have to get to that dusting and clean the bedrooms and the fridge and make a grocery list for the week. Must say I'm not thrilled with any of these activities and if I can find a way out to do something more interesting I will.

April: Good going on you tasks
Darlene: Yay for getting bedroom primed and everything you manage to get done in a day, you are an inspiration.
Moonfire: Prioritizing is good but you sure get alot done in a day.
Doodle: Its okay to take a nap here and there. Hope you can find something more interesting to do today.
As for me today is ROTM day. I have nothing to do but 1 load of laundry....that almost never happens. Its amazing how much laundry I have when the big kids are here. So today I will focus on the MBR. Clean out walk in closet and then go through the drawers. Once thats done I will see if I can get to more. Girls just went in for their nap so I will start and see what I get done before they wake up. Its like setting the timer to beat the clock only its beat the nap...LOL

Am I the only one with no energy and no motivation?
I really am putting things of today and nothing is distracting me, I just don't want to JDI!
I seem to have had load to do and got through it - including 3 days swotting for an interview for a job that starts soon, and now all the energy has gone.
I need it back help!

No,Rovinia, you aren't. I went thru that no motivation too, and I think it had to do with the holidays being over and all the extra things that come with them. IMHO
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GONERS! You are so outstanding this week I am feeling like a lump!
Darlene: I would not be able to help you looking up that way with the vertigo, UCK! YOU did fantastic, but yes, split it up work wise. I know you are excited, and I would be also, this way DH can build your smart closet with drawers. I just love the concept.
What a special special gift for your young friend! A bridal gown and what a generous thing to do. WOW!
Kim: See how good a GONer you are! WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO one batch of laundry! I know a few more kids does add to the pile, A LOT!
Doodle: I hear you about the boring tasks we have to do, but it helps so much to keep ourselves on track, and keep things organized, neat and all together. Maybe you are just tired from the holidays and cold weather.
Moonfire: You just tire me out. I would have been burned out about 1/3 thru your list. WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO on getting the classes all set up, and the computer work. Good also for delegating to DS or whomever some of the work. We all need to do that a little more sometimes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I did a few things around the house today, emptied baskets, dishwasher, but decided as I am going out early this afternoon to plan on doing laundry tomorrow. Now I want to work on the projct I started yesterday.
Everyone have a great day! Hope you had fun too this weekend. All work and no play is dull and boring!
Rovina: We all have days/weeks/months like that. Sometimes we just DONT want to do it...we should have a thread named that...LOL. Sometimes when we have a few days of doing tons of stuff we lose that motivation and energy and its okay to take time off. When you are ready you will get back to it, if there is one thing I learned from this forum is that it is perfectly acceptable to have ME time nobody is going to look down on you or punish you. You will get back motivated again soon I am sure and if you need pep talks we are all her to cheer you on!
Well I got in almost an hours worth of work while the twins napped. Its amazing what you can accomplish in an hour so I am rewarding myself with a cup of coffee and a break on the computer while the twins have their bottles.
I manage to get everything out of the walk in closet and sorted through a bunch, tossed a bunch and are paching things away for the attic. It has been filled with stuff since I was on bedrest with the twins, and as time went on I piled more stuff in there since that is where DH keeps most of his clothes I havent been able to get in there to hang them up...wont he be surpirised when he is looking for his work scrubs tomorrow morning and doesnt find them piled in a laundry basket but hung up neatly...LOL.
So heres a little break down of what I did and found while I was in there.
*Found the totes that were supossed to house my maternity clothes DH bought me after the twins were born. *Packed one full of clothes that were in the closet and went through 4 dresser drawers as well and packed those maternity clothes away in that tote. *Removed everything from the shelves and wiped them down. *Organized the shelves at the back of the closet with boxes of pictures that I need to go through and organize so when I am ready for that project they will all be in one place and accessible. *Also put in the back on some shelves and the floor all my big picture frames with pics of the kids through the years so that when I am ready I can remove them from the frames and place them in albums for them. *Removed everything from shelves that go along the sides of the top of the closet * Put up there some antique books that belong to DFIL til I see what he wants to do with them. Also put the 2 boxes of the twins Christening gowns that DMIL had them preserved in and I dont want to put them in the attic, Also 2 totes worth of clothes that are for the twins to grow into so I can find them easily when they are ready for them. *Cleaned out the very old and beautifully handmade hopechest that belonged to DHs Grandmother. I have this on the floor of the closet underneath the closet rod b/c I dont have room in my BR for it at the moment but I will someday when I get my addition. It had a bunch of stuff in it that I threw away and I placed extra blankets and sheets in it. *Packed up a bag with my nursing pillow, breast pump and related things to be put in the attic. *Found my large suitcase...was wondering where it was and put that in basement *Pulled out a box of papework that I was going through while on bedrest, I will put that aside to go through later...my guess at this point most can be shreaded. *Pulled out a bag of my nursing scubs will through those in the wash and hang back up since I may decide to go back to work part time soon. *Found some left over Christmas items that I didnt get packed away put them in a box to go into the attic.
Wow seems like alot when I look at it typed out. Lets see how much more I can get done when the twins go in for their afternoon nap around 2pm. I want to get as much done b4 DH gets home from work so I can surprise him.
Okay so I spent 45 minutes on ROTM while twins are napping finished a couple things on my list. The walk in closet and cleaning out and reorganizing my dresser.
Heres the breakdown
*Found a couple more boxes of pictures put them with the others on the back shelves of walk in *Hung up DHs clothes in the closet *Cleaned out rest of my drawers and packed away in a tote the maternity ones. *Went through what was left and reorganized, tossed, donated. *Put my clothes away that I wear...finally no more living out of a laundry basket. *Washed all my nursing scrubs they are in the dryer now *Cleaned all the left over baby stuff off DHs dresser and put in their room or packed away *Went through 2 boxes either tossed or found a home for the things. *Made my bed...thats a task in itself doesnt happen often! *Started going through stuff on the bottom of regular closet floor, tossed or found places for things.
Well thats it for me today Im exhausted. Twins are waking up from their nap, DH is on his way home...spend the evening just the 4 of us!
Have a great rest of your Sunday! Kim
