So sorry about your crockpot incident!

I have three crockpots - one teeny one that I use for sauces, another that's larger (3qt)that's the perfect size for making queso dip (Velveeta cheese, ground beef, etc.), and a larger one that I use for complete meals. The largest one has a timer. I don't take them anywhere, so don't need the side clamps. But, it's a nice feature to have if you do.

Gabby, glad you were able to find one....based on your description it sounds like you got the same brand/model that I have. I think I ended up with a stainless with a black liner. I'd forgotten about the gasket...that's what helps it to cook so nicely. I too like these handles...they make it much easier to get a good grip on it before lugging it anywhere.

If you have a thrift shop nearby, donate the crock pot liner. Lots of times, people break the liner, but the bottom works just fine. Some thrift stores sell things like this, others don't...

Or look for the "part" you need at the thrift store. My friend found a lid that she needed when she broke her lid for hers...
