Fleur: I had to laugh about the cat! We just brought our outdoor cat inside after his illness and for two days we couldn't find his new hiding spot. He would appear out of nowhere after we had just been looking for him. We finally figured out he's nestled way underneath the Christmas tree. Spends hours there every day.
Dianaro: Enjoy your family and the food, have a wonderful time. ~~~~~~~~~ DH took me to work today. He then got the tire replaced on the van. He also took the kids out to lunch. Came back to get me and we went and finished our Christmas shopping. The crowds were awful, we expected that, and the parking lots horrible with big snow ruts and ice. But we made it safely through. Went out to dinner and back to get the kids at DGM's.
I did get some wrapping done last night and DH got the one gift assembled that requires that. I have done some more wrapping this evening, mostly extended family gifts but a few for our kids as well. Just told them not to look!
I will finish the wrapping tonight as I don't like to have that to do on Christmas Eve. Otherwise think we are all ready. More snow expected tonight, hopefully not much or we may have family that won't drive here for Christmas Day.

Didn't get a call back from my teacher. Went online and found out that their school district started vacation the 19th! Trying not to freak out over not talking to her until next year.
ETE and PUPA-ed the kitchen. Emptied and refilled dishwasher. Set up an account on MyDailyPlate to (hopefully) kick start my diet. Did some crunches, walked for a bit on the treadmill. Finished up the pillows for my cousins.
May do a few scrapbook pages before turning in for the night.

Clutter: You did a great job!
Music: Sorry you couldn't get ahold of your teacher.
Helen: Hang in there. Maybe you can carve out some family time this weekend? I've heard of others who cannot be with family on Christmas, but will get together this weekend.
Didn't stay up too late last night. I have 3 presents that are 3/4 of the way completed. The girls will put their finishing touches on them this morning.
I think Finishing Touches is what I'll be doing for the rest of the day. I have a majority of things completed, just little things here and there to make it better.
Wishing all of you a Very Merry Christmas! And don't forget about the best gift of all...Jesus! Cya!

Morning all. Sounds like everyone is nearly ready for Christmas! Great work everyone.
Jodi, don't blame you at all....I'm right there with you on this weather! LOL My dd (same region as you) was telling me this morning via IM that she is sick to death of the white stuff..
Waterlady....WOOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOOOOo to you! That's awesome that you were able to get so much done. Great way to take advantage of getting snowed in.
Rachel, hope that you are able to relax and enjoy yourself. Since you can't change anything you might as well enjoy the time off.
Helen, sorry that you are having to work but understand...same thing here. Carve out family time over the weekend and enjoy.
fleur, too funny about the cat! They sure do have fun ways of torturing us don't they! LOL
CC your evening sounds wonderful! Very relaxing...you earned it!
Diana, glad to hear the weather isn't going to interfere with family visiting. Enjoy your time with them!
Wendy, isn't that a nice feeling to only have finishing touches to deal with...great job! And I love your reminder of the Greatest Gift! AMEN!
Did manage to get the majority of my main level cleaned yesterday afternoon. Had forgotten that I had a women's circle meeting at 1....By the time I got home it was nearly 3, but I got busy anyway. Still need to clean up the kitchen, and had promised dgd we'd bake cookies this afternoon....I think we'll just make the peanut blossoms (peanut butter cookies with a chocolate kiss on top) and call it good. I also want to make a coffee cake...will be interesting to see if I can make it low carb and still be tasty....we shall see!
I did my usual morning routine, rinsed, sprayed and wiped the bathroom, made my bed, ete'd the living room and cleaned up a mess of pop cans that had exploded in the garage...canned pop doesn't react real well to being frozen!! LOL I called dgd and gave her a couple of chores to do that will make it easier for me to get the kitchen cleaned up....she has a bowling makeup to do this afternoon but nothing else of urgency.
I hope to get back on later today, but just in case, I pray that everyone has a very Merry Christmas.

Hopeless, knowing kids, they'd find a way to try to get out of helping! LOL

maybe gettin snowed in would be a good thing for some of us an maybe the electricity would go off and the kids would be bored so then we all could actually get things done and the kids would have no excuse to help, right???? LOL VERY funny... A kid bored enough to do household chores ROFL
