Making Your Life Easier

This week is dance recital week for my daughter. Besides getting her back and forth to rehearsals, making all sorts of necessary adjustments to her costume, and being sure I have all the ‘stuff’ needed together and in one place (tickets, photographer order forms, video order forms, room mom checklist, etc. etc.), in addition, her hair needs to be fancied up in a pretty updo with her costume’s hair accessory.

My daughter’s hair is pretty short, so I knew I would be in for both time and frustration trying to get her hair just right for the occasion.

Rather than fussing for hours and probably not getting the best results, I decided to set up hair salon appointments for her on her rehearsal night (that’s the night they take photos) and on her two actual recital days.

The professionals at the salon we go to know exactly what they’re doing, so they’re able to accomplish this task quickly, easily, and beautifully.

They did the first style today. My daughter loves the results. I love the results…and I especially love the relief I’m feeling that it’s done and I don’t have to worry about it.

Sometimes, in similar circumstances, it’s worth investing a few extra dollars and letting the professionals take care of whatever it is you need done…even if you have to forego something else to be able to afford to take advantage of the services of an expert.
